......So I bought an 87 from another member...tokld it needed a fuel pump HaHa! It has a new head but it"s cracked between the valves on cyl3. Done with the 2.6, I'm putting a 5.0 in the car. So I'm giving away a good bottom end, head, intake, etc. Must pickup as I will not ship! I just figure if someone can use it it's better than scrapping. I also have a tep hard pipe set and new stock turbo I will sell. Let me know what you think? thanks, Craig...ps, the stuff is in Sarnia, Ont, Canada

If these are off of a 94up stang I believe they would be 70.3 hub bore and I think Quests are 67.1? so they won't be hub centric. Not trying to be a d***, just saying. Also, I tried 1" spacers on my 87 with 8" rears(they have 245/45/16's) and they rubbed like a mofo without mods.

When are we going to get a price on these flares!?

It does have a new hg and head but might have sat for a while up to and after hg replacement. I ordered an ex and int valve and hg. Going to pull the head tomorrow...if we don't work ot. Hoping I find a burnt valve? I kind of thought that if it was a ring problem the psi would go up more than 10psi when I put oil in the cyl?

So, I did a compression test and found cyl3 @ 40 psi...barely! When I added oil to the cyl it maybe went to 50 psi? So the car has a fairly new head but it sat for a while(not sure how long) long enough for the empty gas tank to rust inside. I'm curious if anyonehas ever seen rings get stuck? Or maybe a burnt valve? Just ordered a head gasket and will probably pull in a few days. I took the vc off and didn't see much. Any ideas? Thanks!

That's for sure! I would never buy a $6500 Quest that has an issue like that! Must be more serious if he won't fix.

blew out my dipstick, what a mess! Just did a comp test, cyl3@40 psi! put oil in went to about 50....new head too! fml!

Sorry, what I meant is i unhooked the hose from it's factory location on the reg.

I put a guage on the filter yesterday, it read 35-40 psi while driving....not sure on volume though?

Ok guys, I have a no power issue over 3500-4000 and up? Brand new inj clips, tune up too,...so I took the car for a ride with the vacuum unhooked to the fpr and it runs great! Is that telling me the reg is junk or masking another problem? Any help would be great! Thanks....I did search and came up empty on an unhooked reg?

Thanks for that info! Great stuff! I will do a comp/leakdown test tomorrow....not much at idle but if I snap the throttle....a plume of blue grey smoke puffs out and when I drive it it smokes on accel. Also worried about the amount of blowby forcing oil out the filler cap??

Crap! Didn't get pics yet! Yes it's out of an 87....would come with a 2.5" dp too! Having an issue with the oils separator right now I have to figure out....don't want to sell to anyone with an issue. The car is at the shop, will get lic tomorrow.
