Power Steering parts - New/Reman only, (pump, gearbox, etc)
jdl007 replied to mstieg's topic in Items Wanted
That is the same short shaft that is on the Cardone steering box. Maybe I will hang onto it after all. Mstieg, let me know what you come up with on the coupler for this box. Maybe this would be the coupler to make, as that steering box is in much greater supply in the secondary parts market. Keep me informed. -
Any updates on these parts ?? THANKS !!!!

Power Steering parts - New/Reman only, (pump, gearbox, etc)
jdl007 replied to mstieg's topic in Items Wanted
The Cardone 27-8450 has a shorter shaft than a spare take-out sreering box I have. So it may not fit. There is another owner in my area who has his steering box out, and I will compare the Cardone part to his as well.....to confirm my initial findings. So hold off on that Cardone purchase until I check. -
I recieved my (2) center/drag links today from Mitsubushi. They cost $142.93 each, plus shipping. They had MOPAR on the side of the box. If you need more info, just PM me.

I am gonna try this on a beat up air dam, taking @ 1 1/2" out of the height. Then I may lower my car another half inch, as I am pretty darn low already.

I too love the hood, but not so much the black guards. They kinda draw my attention too much. But I absolutely love everything else you have done to the car.........especially the clean-up under the hood. Superb work my friend.

I am starting to appreciate the super clean lines on these flatties. Kind of a pure Quest look. Very nice ride.

Will do Dennis. Should arrive any day now.

I ordered two of these, and just got a message saying my items have shipped and provided a tracking number. I used the link that Josh '88 provided me above (??). Did you try this link ? Jerry-

Kinda like super models. They too will never win a speed event (or anything else), but I would prefer to drive one of them everyday.........as opposed to a athletic sprinter (lol).

Great.........happy Questing.

I would much rather have a Pagani, if money were no object. It does way over 200 mph..........in comfort and luxury. It is the best of the best in engineering and craftsmanship. But for a bang-for-the-buck ride, check out the LS motored Porsche 911 conversions done by Renegade Hybrids out in Las Vegas. I did one of these conversions about 20 years ago, before they had refined the conversions. It was best car I have ever owned. But the cooling problems never ended. I WILL own another of these great super cars very soon, parked along side my two Conquests.

Look up my request for a center/drag link in this same section. Josh '88 gave me a link to get a new one from Mitsubishi. Just thought I would give you another option to price against.
-
I may have one in about a week or so, after I install a new one I just bought. It will be off of a 86 Dodge Conquest, but are the same as far as I know (?). If you do not find one before that time, let me know. But your request should be put in the "parts needed" section.

I PayPal'ed you for a set. Thanks..........Jerry-

THANKS for your reply creakyjoints. Yes, I am sure a used coupler could be copied. But I think tolerences would be better served, if we were to work with a new coupler. I proposed the question to "kawika" (a member here), to see if his aerospace engineer guy could possibly make a run of these couplers for us. He did an absolute jam up job on those U-Joint Couplers. But I have not heard back yet ?? I am sure everyone would very appreciative if you would allow your coupler to be used to mock up new pieces. I am willing to put up some seed money, if we can get some serious/legit participants involved. I am not looking to make money on this venture. No deposits would be ask of anyone. I am sure my money could be recovered, if these couplers are made properly. Hopefully we can get the right people on board, and make this happen.

CRAIGSLIST SCAMBAG WARNING!!!!
jdl007 replied to brianpaul98's topic in eBay/ Craiglist notices and alerts
In any non- face to face dealings on Ebay, Craig's List, or others........always demand a wire transfer direct to your bank. This will eliminate any scams, as they cannot back out of this cash transfer. Postal money orders work well too. Take them to a large post office and cash them. Then ship their purchased items. Again, cashed postal money orders cannot be reversed. -
Payment sent.

I will take one. PayPal payment on its way......

Thanks for the heads up on the center link. I purchased (2) today, one for each of my cars. I have put some feelers out for manufacturing new steering couplers, if we can find a new one to work off of. I would put some money up to have them made, and offer them at cost to all who wanted them. Our cars become un-driveable at some point, without a new source for these. Thanks...........Jerry-
