  1. I didn't know the 240z went back that far. There is one at the import shop that's working on one of my cars. They are doing an engine swap with a 2jz I believe.
  2. Two A bodies. Those are going to fly down the road with the light weight. My 68 barracuda weighs the same as my SQ.
  3. Was just wondering what non SQ car you have always wanted to restore or molest (customize)? I have always liked the Volvo 1800 since I was in my teens. This car is unique and has a lot of potential. Here are a few examples: http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/g362/unix88/2001_1970Volvo1800E_01_zps2e7e42df.jpg http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/g362/unix88/STvolvo2_zpsaaad759e.jpg http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/g362/unix88/226522_167411270_Original_zps5c630471.jpg http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/g362/unix88/0405sc_05z1970_Volvo_P1800Front_Passenger_Side_zpse4c884ee.jpg

  5. I came across this interesting article today and guess what car is on the list??? http://www.autoblog.com/2005/06/29/what-makes-a-classic-car/
  6. I'm definitly interested in a full set if this GP gets revived.
  7. Here's some reading material for you all: http://www.hagerty.com/classic-car-articles-resources/Features/News/All-Articles/2013/03/25/April-Fools?utm_source=ExactTarget&utm_medium=email&utm_term=&utm_content=&utm_campaign=Hagerty%20Weekly%20News%2003-27-2013
  8. No more denial of service messages. Looking good!
  9. I get a kick out of the Tums commercials: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bPCOsyxSkH0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YJdrFNTQLh4 There are others.
  10. I don't know what area you are looking but there is one in Colorado: Woody's Wheel Works (http://www.woodyswheelworks.com/home.htm) They straightened and powder coated one of my wheels.
  11. You are correct. I went from one extreme to another. I first restored my GTX before reproduction parts were available so I had to bid high dollar amounts to get a lousy part just to have to restore it which includes chroming metal, pot metal, or plastic. This was an expensive and time consuming process. Now they reproduce most of these parts after my restoration was complete. If I would have just waited five years I could have saved about $3000. So from one rarety to another. Having a mk2 supra parts are hard to find, relying completely on the junkyard or a forum to get parts. You end up having to buy a few cars to make one really good one. I thought the mk2 supras were scarce, the Conquest is much more rare over in Colorado. Since I owned my first (2 years) I have only seen one at a junkyard. As I said, you have to own a few to make one really good one.
  12. I have broadform insurance for my supras, sqs and truck, which is liability. One insurance policy for all my imports and my truck. I can drive any car with out being attached to a VIN number. It's saving me a ton of money. I have Hagarty full coverage for my muscle cars and van since they have more money invested. I will eventually move some other cars over to Hagarty as I dish more money into the imports. There are driving limitations and storage restrictions to get the classic car insurance.
  13. No more than $800 even that might be too much. $500 I would agree on.
  14. My whole basement is filled with car collectibles, antique car toys and tracks stacked on storage shelves. Someday I will start selling. I have three of those Starion diecast cars, one of each color.
  15. Yes, they do. I had my SQ wheels machined and clear power coated. Looks nice!!!
