  1. I agree on the slotted rotors. You have more surface area and with the standard venting is fine for street. The starion race cars, porches, mercades, audi, and corvette have slotted from factory. I have seen those ebay slot/crossed rotors distort after a few autocross events, but that can happen with any with abuse and heat. To chime in on the ceramic brakes, I have a set of hawk ceramic pads on my rsx and perform surpisingly well. They are quiet and make little mess.
  2. royal purple 10-40 and bosch filter. the royal purple racing oil is not for street. it's made for short periods. I use the purple in my evo and rsx and had it save my a** once when a oil fitting broke and spewwed car blood all over. broke down motor and all was good, it was still covered in that oil film.
  3. I have an Apexi AFC and used the ecu for tach signal. it was way erratic and off from my tach that was wired off the coil.
  4. The 16G is fine with STOCK PUMP AT STOCK BOOST! When you start turning it up you would most deff need a 255gph pump. Don't blame the guy that installed a part YOU wanted on your P.O.S. car and be pissed it doesn't perform the way you expected. south end of a north bound donkeys would do this all the time to me with beat dsms and zs. they would buy one part and expect just to instantly have a race car without supporting mods ,quality replacement parts, and maintnence because they expected me to do this s*** free.
  5. HKS makes the parts to peice together for the pipe. If you search here U can get all the part numbers. HKS makes a airbox intake kit for 1st gen talon/eclipse that works,it puts a mushroom filter at bottom of can. *DM performance also has a pipe kit thats great. I have the 1g mas so I made a intake out of a prelude intake pipe. Cosmo is making a aircan replacement/filter combo u put your mas in.
  6. Just sent payment yesturday,Can't wait to get it.
  7. It never said anything about 13psi in the original post, You all know that wouldn't be possibly with 16g and stock motor,if it is stock. So we can stop comming up with random numbers and doubting that antbody else could make power,ya ya I know where you guys are comming from. I hope he shares his speed secrets or the BS meter will be going off.
  8. It was just a B&M shift knob, insted of putting the shift pattern logo in it they fliped it around and made the "go baby go" with a label maker. My buddy has the same knob in his r/t stratus and he got a guy at the swap meet to make an R/T logo for it.
  9. Sometimes that nut on the front struts to remove the insertes is a B**CH,you will need some lube and a big wrench or a GM strut tool. after you remove the assembly from the car you will need to compress the spring and remove the strut nut and the isolater to get to the strut nut. Be carful if you put the strut in a standore vise, you can't sqeeze them to hard. I did pour about have the oil back in the strut after I removed the gets before I put the insert in,This helps disapate some heat whitch will degrade the performace of your strut. Hope some of this helps.
  10. Yes it's been done, There is pics in the gallery at www.26liter.us . It doesn't look as good as the 240sx or supra and your light will be facing down. If you look under the headlight bucket you will see a black boot pertruding from the headlight assembley. Take the clip off the boot and there will be a adjustment knob for headlight up and down. You just have to spin it one way or another.
  11. You mean the AFC,try the search. It;s on there ,I hooked up mine from the diagram and works mint. If you don't know how to tune it you should go to a shop and get it tuned. You don't want to lean out and go boom.
  12. NX Nitrous sytems makes a specific kit for our cars, but there are other members that have used different kits with good results. I beleive the zex kit is also nice,I was gonna use it on mine.
  13. red:constant 12V green: ignition 12v blue: accsessory 12V black: ground gray: ebrake will not work unless hooked up brown: tach signal (may need tach adapter to convet the signal,it needs a 5 volt digital signal and not a 12 volt analog signal) That should be it,it's kinda hard to find on the site so my lazy a** typed it out anyway. good luck.
  14. If you go to the hks usa web site they have the install instructions for the timer.
  15. check out the 26liter.us site for there suspension guide, look around on these forums. There isn't a whole lot, but some members make stuff. My quest runs with poly bushings,Suspension Tech springs and KYB gr-2 gas charged struts. I have some cusco camber adjustable upper strut mounts on the way after a 3 month wait from japan. good luck peace
  16. Good Question You cloud swap the springs,it's posible. I think the rear springs have less rate than the front. The front also weights more and probaly compress the spring more and you would have less travel.Travel is good. The slight saging in the rear is good for weight distrabution. Mine don't sag much and handle well. If it's not your daily and you don't mind the work you can try it. Don't cut the springs though thats bad vodoo, they will sag and you will bottom out and effect the geometry of the suspension/steering. I have cut coils and heated springs on other cars at one time and they don't last long, not worth it unless it's junk. Although if it was as simple as swapping springs STs would came that way already. peace
  17. There's a video of a conquest drifting in the war storys forum, The car was mostly stock and the car did very well. Driving technique and expirience out weights the machine any day. My beat 86 tsi striped out was a nasty car that had stock suspension exept for tokicos in the rear. I was able to tear it up all right in it, out handling some other cars with mods but cocky drivers that thought they knew. I did have some good rubber on it though. Hope your walking that duck and keeping it on the road.
  18. I have confermed that the TEP springs are ST springs, but TEP can have a custom springs for racing made for a lot of cash. H and R used to make springs to.I have been told ther are progressive and lower about 1.75 if you can find them. Intrax was also making some springs for our cars supposibly but haven't seen them. I dought it though. They are some coilover kits on ebay for our cars now,the more are sold the more they will make.
  19. That did not make you richer, getting more air into the engine will make you leaner. You probaly need to check the tps with the other sensors on the tb. you could also have a vac leak. leaking vac line or tb gasket and inj. seals will cause a rich condition.
  20. Yes, VDO makes a dual guage pod to replace the dash clock, check there website. Not sure if it was discontinued, but when I looked into it a few years back it was like 80 bucks.
  21. Damn, mise wern't like that at all.The front springs needed to be compressed and the rears I held down hard on the top spring perch and my girlfriend put on the strut nut. I also had a decent front strut mount go bad right after install, It sounded like clik'aty clank clk'aty clank the quest takes more more money from my piggy bank. ;D
  22. I believe the pressure rating for the walbro is 150 psi max, Oh and if you were wondering I did destroy my stock pump overworking it. I was't saying the stock pump was bad, they have been lasting like 15 years in some cars. They don't meet demand of a higher output fuel system.
