  1. New android app, called Pacecarz It's pretty cool, you can track your speed and then upload it to the website, this way you can prove that you really went as fast as you did, comparing to friends speeds, etc... It's new, and is still being refined, and it's free http://www.pacecarz.com/ https://market.android.com/details?id=com.jessieamorris.pacecar
  2. The topic of discussion is required before anything can be discussed.
  3. Very clean car man! Love it. I was looking for a Drooling smiley face but I don't see one on this site.
  4. Anything is possible... All you would have to do is make an adapter plate and bolt it on.. But the question is why? What isn't working on your car now that makes you think about doing this? Its a step backwards, really.
  5. The compressor housing and intake pipes have no oil in them. I used the old J tube off the 12a turbo and welded it to my pan, and I have a 1/2 braided steel hose going down to it from the turbo. Thanks for the info Indiana, your replies are always detailed and have lots of info. Thanks!!
  6. White lithium grease. My seatbelts move back faster now than I can get in and out of the car. They beat me almost every time.
  7. Actually, this was the problem. I got it fixed today. I had the drain below the oil level AND it necked down to about 3/8. That was too small. I made a new drain, 1/2 inch all the way to the pan, and it is now above the oil level. No more smokey. Learn something new everyday, I didn't think 1/4 of an ich was all that big a deal, guess it is. Thanks!!!
  8. Ok, I'll get the oil seperator hooked up. And the valve seals are new, I put new ones in when I had the motor rebuilt Thanks!
  9. I've been having this problem for a while now. I have blue smoke coming from my tailpipe, ONLY when idling. If I rev the motor or if I am driving, there is no smoke at all, but once I come to a stop and idle, it will start smoking again. Spark Plugs, piping and compressor housing show NO sign of oil I have the correct PCV valve Turbo Oil drain is half inch down to the pan, below the oil level No oil seperator, there is a hose attached to the back of the valve cover that just angles down to the ground If I pull the oil fill cap, I can feel a lot of air coming out - should there be? I'm thinking that oil must be leaking into the exhaust from the turbine housing, since it's not in my piping or showing on my spark plugs. From what I have read, oil can get past the seals in the turbo from, Inadequate drainage, too much oil PSI, too much crankcase pressure - preventing the oil from draining. Am I on the right track? Any suggestions? Thanks
  10. Bought some Injectors from Brian. He is an awesome seller. His supplier gave him two faulty injectors and they were sent to me. I let Brian know and he got it all sorted out and got me a working injector, after dealing with his supplier. Great guy, replies to emails even on the weekend, he'l do anything to make sure you get good working parts.
  11. Bought a manifold from him. It bolted up and worked great! Thanks
  12. Makes sense. I'm not looking for big power right now, just reliability, so it's no big deal. Yeah, I just said I'm looking for reliability with a starquest...you can all laugh now.
  13. I could so do $480 for one of these. Too bad I just bought a Treadstone mani....oh well. Nice work!
  14. Yeah that's what I was thinking about doing. We'll see once I get a chance to look at it more closely.
  15. Yeah, I'm going to mount the injectors right where the horses' tail is. Side by side. The bolt holes dont line up well at all...but thats allright because I need to make a spacer to raise it up about an inch, and said spacer will turn out being an adapter as well. I won't get around to doing this for a few weeks, have to collect some parts.
  16. Well, I went to the junkyard and looked one of those throttle bodies. They don't normally have a port for ported vaccuum, but you could easily drill a hole for one. I would do it on the under side of the throttle body, just in front of the butterfly. Then running the line to the dizzy would be simple. I also picked up one of these...I'm going this route. I'll have to modify the thermostat housing, but I think I can get it to work. http://image.musclemustangfastfords.com/f/tech/mmfp_1011_1997_ford_4_6l_two_valve_engine_rebuild/30504148+w200/mmfp_1011_05_o+1997_ford_4_6l_two_valve_engine_rebuild+accufab_throttle_body_top.jpg
  17. SO I was at the wrecking yard the other day. Saw a Mazda B2600i with what looked like a G54B engine in it. It had a 12 valve head and the intake and exhaust were switched side. Exhaust on the driver side. It was MPI.. The valve cover and head looked very similar to the Starions...only reversed. I'm sure someone on here should know if this head would bolt on our blocks??? Just curious..
  18. Any progress on this? Is the thermostat housing going to completely halt this project? How will the dizzy's 'ported' vac advance(retard) work with this? As far as the wiring on the TPS, im not sure. It would depend on what vehicle the TPS came out of, I imagine the wire colors vary.
  19. Isn't there anyone around St Louis that can go check this guys car out? I can't imagine it taking more then 10 min to figure out the tire rubbing problem. As far as the brakes, if you buy all the parts, maybe $150 worth, I'm sure a member would be more than happy to come help you replace it all, for as a little as one case of beer. Paying $900 for a brake job is like bending over and just asking to be sodomized.
  20. Last winter I helped at least 20 people who were stuck in the snow. Thank goodness for Bronco 2's, 4WD and lockers. This one guy, in a brand new BMW 7 series, gave me 50$ for pulling him out of a ditch.
  21. Interesting.... I have the exact same Turbo, got it off Ebay. It is also leaking oil on the exhaust side...must be a design defect
  22. That Ford throttle body you have has the mount for a Ford TPS on the right hand side. It looks like a Ford TPS could work with the starion ECU, the volt ranges are very similar... http://fordfuelinjection.com/?p=30
