  1. I noticed that too after I made my post. I guess it's always possible that someone did a lot of swapping.
  2. A friend from the board here came over today w/ his porta-power. This is what we were able to come up with in about an hours worth of work. My goal was just to get things shaped enough to get a hatch back on it for the winter months. This also buys me some time to really think about what to do w/ this car and what my options are. All quotes I've gotten thus far have still been pricey for a new roof welded on. I hate to part it though ... too nice a car @ only 58k. The white hides a lot
  3. Unless someone swapped out the interior, I don't think you have an 87 ... looks like an 88 which would fit the SHP description. Car won't last long at that price. Seems like a good deal IMO for a car that just needs a little bit. Very nice. GLWS.
  4. The only thing that would hold me up from next Sat is Coldscrip might be coming from Ohio to purchase my Red 87. I'll keep you posted.
  5. I have an 88 and the leather is solid. I've seen 88's w/ the pinholes though too.
  6. I think tg118 is right .. both those Quest's won't last much longer as picked over as they are. I might just go up there myself and grab the windshield and roof and sit on the windshield until someone wants it. I know I'll get my money back out of it .. somebody will need it. I hate to see a perfectly good windshield go to the crusher. Maybe I'll try to coordinate to meet tg there since I'd have to remove the hatch to cut the roof off and he wants the hatch ... I'd hate to take it off and have someone else walk away with it before he gets it. I really want to find a way to fix my Starion afforably. The car is sooo perfect, and only 58k. Damn tree limb.
  7. HA! I just looked at my thread on the windshield and you actually responded to it Skullz ... you just never followed up with me. http://www.starquestclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=125670&hl=&fromsearch=1 Let me know if your serious .... we can meet up at the yard, or I can go get it and you can pick it up my place or something ...
  8. Yup ... when I was there weeks before you guys the dash had already been all hacked up by some idiot (I think I may have mentioned that in an earlier post). Such a shame some ppl destroy cars in yards. Skullz ... if you go up for the windshield, let me know b/c I'd like to cut the roof off the Atlantic to hopefully repair my Starion that got crushed in the snow storm, but they wanted me to pay for the windshield too if I was going to cut the roof. I actually put a post up in the F/S section just a few weeks ago to see if there were any interest in the windshield if I were to buy it, but I didn't get any serious inquires so I haven't been back up to the yard. Heck, if you go, PM maybe we can coordinate to meet up there the same day and I can just cut the roof off then. It's going to be a heck of drive from WV .... tg118 - that hatch was nice as I recall. I agree. Glad to hear the hood is still undamaged too, I hate when people take them off and use to lay on under cars and they got all ruined. Someone should go buy that hood.
  9. Wow, seeing the condition of this car, the quick sale, and the price it brought really makes me wish my 88 SHP Starion w/ 58K on it didn't get crushed by a tree. Mine is identical to this one right down to the interior. (I also don't have the black uppers on the back seats, but I've seen many cars that do have black uppers). Still fuming ...
  10. I did. That's what I was saying in my posts. What I saw 2 weeks ago was what was left on the car then ... probably even less now.
  11. I actually just came wish list section of the forum to suggest this and I see someone others have recently beat me to it. My suggestion was going to be specifically for the Cars For Sale Section however ..... many other forums I belong to require this. Here's my thought/suggestions - I think the Cars F/S section should be required to list the STATE in the heading. Just my .02.
  12. If you need parts or how-to input, you've come to one of the few places your going to get any decent information about them. Unfortunately Starquest's are considered an orphaned car and there is very little aftermarket support despite what I think is a very healthy enthusiast community.
  13. Moved to eBay. Will cancel auction if someone here expresses interest.
  14. Moved to eBay. Will cancel auction if someone from here expresses interest.
  15. Dash - everything you see in the picture except the few switches - $25. Local pick up. Here's the catch, it was originally maroon, painted tan by someone else. I dyed/painted it black. Basically, the vinyl type parts are dyed the hard plastic parts are painted. I think it looks pretty darn good. I have an opportunity to get a stock maroon color one, so I'm going to go for the factory look. http://img18.imageshack.us/img18/1160/dashr.jpg Silver air dam, pretty broken up. I understand some people cut these up and use pieces to fix others. That's about all it's good for IMO. $20/OBO + shipping. I am willing to cut it down to what you need for you to help save on shipping in a large box. http://img337.imageshack.us/img337/4189/airdam1.jpg http://img39.imageshack.us/img39/9899/airdam2.jpg Next up, complete rear spoiler. This came off my hatch that got smashed. $40 + shipping for the whole thing w/ wiper motor assembly -or- I will separate spoiler / rear wiper motor assembly $20 each. Decent shape, obviously needs paint. http://img210.imageshack.us/img210/5080/spoiler1f.jpg http://img97.imageshack.us/img97/7231/spolier2.jpg http://img4.imageshack.us/img4/9032/wipermotor.jpg
  16. Are you talking a/b quoting previous replies? If so, you have scroll back up in the thread to the person you want to quote and hit the "quote" or "multiquote" in the lower right. Not sure if that's what you mean though ....
  17. I picked this up at Barnes and Noble when I first heard about it here on the board a few weeks ago .... my favorite line in the article is something to affect of "anyone who owns a Starion or Conquest knows there is little to no aftermarket support" ..... Beautiful car, great article ... congrats!
  18. They kinda look like the screens your cold/hot water hook up has on the back of your washing machine ... except smaller. (closest thing I can think of)
  19. He's not lying. I live in Center Valley, the next town north of Quakertown (I actually grew up there) and frequent both those yards and haven't seen a Quest at either one in over a year. Tom - we should meet up sometime. Somebody on this board told me there was a Starquester in Q-town. Is your car yellow?
  20. First and only Atlantic Blue I've ever seen in person. I was trying to tell the people I was with at the yard it was a fairly rare color.
  21. Drivers fender was missing. I can't remember if the passenger was there or not. Both doors were there, hatch, front and rear bumpers. No airdam. Hood was there, and virtually perfect. I almost bought the hood myself. Rockers ground effects were missing, just like in his picture.
