  1. I wouldn't say that its beyond his experience level. Everyone has to start somewhere. With my old neon, I rebuilt a 2.4 with srt internals, swapped it in, turbo'd, megasquirt all by myself and never did anything close to it. I recently rebuilt the g54b with wiesco's.., modded a 16g and now in the process of hooking up MS. It just takes some mechanical skill and a bunch of research. Read the fsm and any how to's you find online. Don't skimp out on machine work. It might be expensive but it's something that needs to be done. How ever much money you budget for plan an additional couple hundred and plan on some extra time for things that might not go right.
  2. I'm more interested in using it with megasquirt. Is the stock solenoid fast acting enough?
  3. The abs unit not plugged in would make the light come on.
  4. Anyone try using boost control? I had it working decent on my neon using the gm solenoid. I want to know if it will work with the stock 88-89 solenoid.
  5. Depends on what type of 16g you have. What did it come off from? I'm guessing not a starquest. If your 16g is at a shop then you should take in the exhaust housing from your stock turbo. Tell them you need it opened up and made to fit the tdo5h exhaust wheel from the 16g. I did mine myself. After you get it back you will need to clock the compressor housing so that the outlet will face in the correct direction. Mine had a pin in the cartridge and a grove in the housing so it couldn't turn. I used a dremel to make a grove where I needed it. Next you need to figure out a wastegate. I used the one that came with my 16g and modified it to fit. Oil and coolant fittings should bolt in no problem. Use new washers.
  6. Adjustable MR2 struts should work better. The best thing to do is have the struts revalved to the spring rate of your choice.

  8. He said 25psi fuel pressure, not boost. Do you have a bov?
  9. Different turbos use different exhaust housings. Take the 16g for example. Unless you buy it made for the starquest it won't bolt up to the manifold. You have a few options, get an adaptor, get a diff manifold, or use the exhaust housing from the 12a. The td05 from the 12a needs to be opened up to match the td05h from the 16g. You will also have to figure out a wastegate.

  11. You could do that if you headlight switch was dirty. Before I cleaned mine I had to press the headlight on button half way to get them to close. If I didn't hold it until they closed they would stop where ever I left off.
  12. Do you have a good passenger side conquest tail light? I also need a pigtail for the sidemarker light.

  14. Look to see if there is any hydraulic shops in your area. When I built my neon, that's where I got all the fittings.
  15. I have a clutch net clutch if you want me to bring it up with me. I was about to toss it out.
  16. I have a similar question. My 16g won't boost much. Made a cap to go over the turbo inlet and checked boost leaks and took care of them. I tied the wastegate flapper shut with a wire and it wouldn't boost over 15psi. In 2nd gear, it didn't get up 10psi until around around 4.5- 5k rpms. I'm wondering that if I don't have good cam timing, it would make this happen.

  19. Do you have tail lights? I also need the pigtail for the turn signal side marker.
  20. If using the stock cts, what setting would need to be changed in ms2? or does the stock cts use the same values as the gm?
  21. I need a passenger tail light and a wiring pigtail for the front turn signal on the bumper.
  22. Does anyone have any more pictures? or dimensions? I was thinking about making one at work out of aluminum.
  23. They are the heavy duty springs and I think hydraulic rockers. I bought the head complete from a member on here. He also said "this head will take ur compression from 7.8 to 8.6 " My block was surfaced also. So I'm not sure what that will bump my compression to.
