I sold my first car, and the second, and third.......ninth.... To me they are fun, they serve their purpose as a toy and a distraction and I enjoy the hell out of them but in the end they are metal and paint. I can get more metal and paint to keep me happy if I miss one of them.

From doing ours I can recall one bolt WAY deep in between where the motor and trans come together, hard to see and took two 12" extensions to reach. Other than that as long as the motor is suspended with an A-frame from above it is pretty easy. Well, time consuming but not difficult. I would definitely recommend a helper when mating a new trans, someone that can be above to help guide. I remember trying to get the trans to line up for at least an hour, then had the wife help and it slid right in like nothing.

That's one of the best ones I have heard so far. I'm not much of a bridge burner. Always left places on the best of terms, with them hating to see me go.

The "peaceful" protesters are just as guilty of stereotyping and prejudice as THEY accuse others of being. The person you know was called all sorts of things. They would never have guessed, and cared less about finding out what the person you knows views were. Had they done so they would have found out that the person you guys know completely and utterly supports their stance. Supports what they were doing and their rights to do so. They seem to be oblivious and unconcerned about the whole breaking the law part. The person you know can see both sides of the coin. Neither side was completely in the white, there is a whole lot of finger pointing towards the grey areas from both sides.

Hopefully they have made some improvements to that Moto program. I had to use it for my sliver and it was one of the worst phone to pc programs I have ever run into.

Look on the bright side. Maybe the team will be having a sale on the parts they have. I know several people who live in PR and travel back and forth on a regular basis. Maybe I can get them to stow some in their luggage.

I had to replace the motor and trans in the first one we ever had. Back then we were buying "new" cars that had 95k on the OD because that was all we could afford. I don't miss that beast. I wanted to do something cool with all that dash space, like create a model train set or something up there. Maybe a battlefield of tin soldiers, she would never let me..... I don't think the new Venture has much more room. Hopefully that will hold up better though. We have had it since 2004 and it only has 76k on it now. My wife goes through transmissions like it is her job though, every car we have ever owned has had a "faulty" transmission, she swears it isn't her doing though.....

IN China's defense they are only 21st on the list of leading exporters and they at least make some attempt at quality control. Other countries in SE Asia, India and predominantly Africa work cheaper because they have absolutely no attempt at anything close to workers rights or QC. I agree with Shelby although I think companies make money that way because we let them. We complain about the cheapness but the only reason we know about it is because we have bought it, when it breaks we will buy another. You don't NEED 80% of what you have. So we are left with the situation, if you want to live in the manner you are accustomed to you have to buy into the system as it stands and thereby support it. Turning a blind eye to the cheapness, the safety issues, the corporate greed, the labor implications to those building your product etc.

THose are nice shots. The camera can only do so much though, it also helps to know how to adjust depth of field and speeds to create the greatest effect. I'm sure Focus could have taken the same pictures with a $90 point and shoot with adjustable settings. I salute your prowess Mr. Focus!
