  1. First...... Anyone able to run a carfax for me? I'm driving down to PA (two hours away) to pick up a RAM 1500 that I went and drove last week. If anyone has a current CARFAX listing please email me SQF1@Frontiernet.net. I'll pass along the VIN. EDIT: Here's the VIN 1D7HA18N53J665180 Second, flipped the Aztek last week (hence the need for a new vehicle). I'm ok, my father told me it looks better upside down. http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h173/mamamiaof4/Mikes/aztek.jpg
  2. Your car is yellow, that adds HP too!
  3. Yeah, Buffalo's backup goaltender kept Crosby and the gang down to one goal the entire game. We left with a point. Good enough for me!
  4. CHARLIE MURPHY! First I said "who is Brittany Murphy", then I googled her, then I said "oh well, hope she had fun" but who cares?
  5. I saw on the news (haven't confirmed it) that the study was conducted pre-Katrina. I can see why NY is the unhappiest, I wish I could bail without losing 10 years in a 20 year retirement system. We pay taxes for everything, that is my only real complaint. I like the weather, like the scenery, love the people but paying over 35% of every dollar to the state for services that I largely don't use is killing me. Governor Dave has added taxes to even more things, now bottled water deposits (another word for tax). I agree with the governor that we need to slash the budget, however he is slashing school funding and public safety while increasing welfare benifits. No wonder people intentionally move to NY for the welfare.
  6. Coke, no driving to Rochester to steal my plasma tv's while I'm gone LOL>
  7. Last Thursday we got our confirmation for our consulate appointment in Guangzhou. So, we booked our flights Thursday night and we are heading to China this Wednesday. Leaving the kids with Grammy for Christmas. We get into Beijing the 24th, tour Beijing, see the great wall, Ming tombs, Tienanmen Square, Forbidden City etc. and go get Kara on Monday. A few days in Beijing, a few days in Henan province, then Guangzhou then Shanghai and home January 11th. I'll post some pics up when I can. We did our Christmas with the kids our Christmas presents today and they (well the younger two did, the older two played along) made a map for Santa to get their presents to Grammies house on the 25th since they won't be home.
  8. Does that door lock behind you? In our building they do, unless the fire alarm goes off, that automatically unlocks the stairway doors.

  10. Maybe we just got used to him over the past 28 years... Eddie Olcyzk was one of the ones that I detested on VS., Darren Pang annoyed me on ESPN because he wouldn't call the game, he would just tell stories about the players. It was like he spent 60 minutes name dropping about "When I was out with so and so".... Yeah, you know everyone, we get it, how about you mention the goal that was just scored.
  11. Google is your friend http://www.getridofthings.com/get-rid-of-smoke-smell.htm
  12. Don't mind Maz, he says all sorts of insane things! I love RJ, I do not care for Harry Niel, half the time he opens his mouth he says something incorrect. From players names to statistics. I like RJ so much I listen to him on the radio while I am at the games.
  13. I suppose it is important to mention that prior to the Chantix I had tried the following, Zyban, patches, gum, lozenges and cold turkey many many times. I chewed all through HS and started smoking when I went to college and stopped playing Hockey and Soccer all year long. Rusty, honestly some of the most vivid trippy dreams I've ever had. It's actually the most enjoyable part of the medication. It never effected my moods, just made me sort of lose interest in smoking. There was no desire there and when I would light up I would take two drags and it would taste horrible. After a month of no smoking I almost became "one of those people", you know the ones who can't stand smokers. All of a sudden I could smell it on others or in a room and it was awful. I got used to that though.
  14. Chantix worked for me, after 15 years of smoking I had quit in three weeks. Take the meds for three months though otherwise you will start smoking again. You can't take it if you have issues with depression and the like though. Gives you surreal dreams too.
  15. I have a theory that winter serves a purpose. That is what not having winter does to people. Would I have thought that a good idea in June, perhaps. In November, it's too damned cold to do that so sanity prevails.
  16. When I was 8 I wizzed on an electric fence by mistake. Then again when I was 34 I put my tongue one the "hellbox" used to electrically initiate blasting caps. Neither was a good move. One of them was when I should have known better......
  17. Maz, Don't don't go disrespecting RJ, RJ is the man... If there is a game on VS, I pot the TV down and listen to RJ on WGR..... Sometimes it takes several minutes to pause, forward and reverse the TV DVR to get in synch to the radio but it is worth it. VS commentators "chatter" too much. The fans boo Campbell, like they boo Briere, like they boood Hasek(I know he was not am amateur brought up to Buffalo), but mostly like they boo every other player that was developed in Buffalo and "left" for more money at another team (COUGH SATAN COUGH). I don't blame most of the players, because they can make more money elsewhere (except SATAN, he just became an tail before he left, hence my hoping that he never wins a cup). Buffalo hockey is HUGE, not just pro, high school and college is every bit as important. Buffalo is into hockey like the Habs and the other six. IMO even though Chicago is one of the original six, Chicago hasn't held that aura that Montreal, Boston and Toronto have had for many decades. In other parts of the country guys argue over pickup truck brands..... We argue about hockey I have to say, that was a good game. I don't follow anyone but Buffalo and Detroit. Never see any other games etc... Chicago has speed, exactly what I like. When the forwards would pull into the zone and kick it up a notch it was impressive, reminds me of Buffalo's speed HEHE.
  18. Got my $500 equipment voucher today, immediately spent $350 of it. In the past I've always spent my "voucher" on stuff for the kids for Christmas, this year it is all about me. I know it is kind of corny but I've wanted all of these things for a while now. I'm tickled that I actually got them. Sad as it seems, you know what else I am all psyched about, new Wigwam duty socks...LOL Got a nice Streamlight "Strion" LED light, with dazzler and three light settings, lith ion battery, tailcap on/off. http://www.eliteles.com/images/streamlight%20strion-LED_logoed.jpg And a Tarani blade http://www.knifecenter.com/knifecenter/511/images/51001.jpg And a pair of Matterhorn 8" Goretex jump boots, I've always wanted a pair of real real real good boots. Now I have them http://www.midwestboots.com/Matterhorn-Combat-Boots-1597-L.jpg
  19. That may have been a preview of the finals.......
  20. If that guy does live in the city, and that is the size of his kitchen, he is a millionaire or really lucky. All my friends (even still) have $2000 a month apartments that are the size of that guys kitchen LOL.
  21. That's just the Doctor. Tardis got a little off course there for a bit.
  22. [hijack] is it me or is it cool that the car has nearly 0 RPMs but is going 18MPH? [/hijack]
  23. Mine was 5 years ago. Much like Louse described except I didn't have any pain whatsoever, just could feel the tugging on the tubes etc. I took a nap that day lumped the next and went back to work the day after that. The only REALLY EXTREMELY annoying thing is that when I get a cold it feel like I got kicked in the balls. The doctor told me that would happen.
  24. I've had my LCD for almost 3 years and love it. I only have two complaints, one is I should have gotten a 42" instead of 50" as it is just unnecessary. Second is that it is too dark, with large windows and skylights the picture gets lost during sunny winter days no matter how light I make the picture. One reason I always find the "LCD doesn't have a black picture" amusing, I wish it wasn't so damned black.
