Apexi NEO Air/Fuel Controller -- $279 Shipped.
GoFastBeater replied to emagdnim's topic in Group Purchase Info
Can this be used with the stock or 1G MAS or do you have to switch to the GM? I was really planning on getting the MAFT that uses wideband feedback to auto-tune. Prices are comparable to this. How is this better? -
I'm pretty sure all starions came with turbo on the hatch window. conquests did not.
-
that's because they don't balance the rotating assembly. they were designed to combat harmonic vibrations that four cylinders are prone to. you might notice a shifter vibration at a certain rpm range, but if your engine runs well you shouldn't notice any big difference.

meguires makes a compound called plastix that is used to buff swirl marks and hazing out of plastic headlight lenses. you can buy it at autozone. -

My Star quest Has Begun
GoFastBeater replied to supermexican562's topic in Engine and Performance Mods
I hope you're matching that t/b to a 52mm intake. -
maybe because they never made a purple quest?

I don't think there's a difference in the LSD's. If anything, the 88-89 is probably stronger. The axle shafts are different in the 87, but should fit just fine in the newer rear.

Payment sent for four poster set. Thanks dude. ADAM

ebay or request a price quote from shox.com. I know they have them but they aren't listed on their website. ADAM

13mm height? I know those bolts need to have a pretty low profile. -

I'm having a problem with lifter tick on this schneider cam and Tim sent some shims free of charge to hopefully alleviate the problem. He'll definately get my business when I upgrade to a real turbo cam. ADAM
-
I already have a 284H cam in there. The only difference between the 284H and 284F (mech) is just a tad of lift I believe. If anybody has rockers and shafts from a caravan I'll take them. ADAM
-
I'm tired of the ticking and I can't get ahold of tim_c for some shims, so I'm ready to go mechanical. Anybody got a setup? Will ones from a caravan work? Thanks, ADAM

perhaps you should try the items wanted forum, a pm, or learn how to use the site to reply to a message

also, prof, the plastic roto-molded enclosures are popular now because they're dirt cheap to manufacture. it can almost all be done by machine, and it's easier to do vehicle-specific enclosure that way. take a look at any competition-quality sound system. you won't see any "plastic". take a look at any expensive home speaker. they use mdf or hardwood plywood and finish it with a veneer.
-
the main problem with fiberglass boxes, or any enclosure that flexes for that matter, is resonance. Sure, it might play lound (actually REALLY loud and at the resonant frequency), but it will sound like a**. Of course, if you're running some p.o.s. sub with a pyramid amp then it's gonna sound like a** no matter how nice of an enlosure it's in.
-
You gotta start somewhere  Your project will require a bit of fabrication, but nothing major. I like to do all my stuff on my car myself so I know it's not half----------------. Also, should you ever have problems, you'll know how everything is wired and routed. ADAM

mechanical gauges take a feed directly from a 1/8" tube running from the t/b. electric gauges have a separate sending unit and send the reading to the gauge via a signal wire. the only difference is the electric gauges will often have a shallower mounting depth because most of the stuff is in the sending unit.

This is what we have a feedback forum for. Thanks for the info.
