First, you can find information on these things here: http://www.accusump.com/

All this is on a non-intercooled flatty, so there was plenty of room to mount everything.

Had to get the mounting brackets welded on to the bumper. Power steering "cooler" had to be relocated along with the oil cooler.

Mounting brackets I made for the power steering cooler:

New location, used cooler. It used to be the oil cooler on my old car, but I flushed it out many many times...

Since the front end was all apart, I turned my radiator into a "Griffin" radiator....

Engine oil cooler is in a temporary spot for now until I get a new cooler+8-AN lines. Still have to plumb the Accusump in...

Added a sump warning/function light to the gauge cluster. It will indicate when the valve opens. There was a blank spot in the cluster, so it was easy..

Had to drill into the firewall to get this in(ac needs to be out of the way, but i removed all my ac anyway) :

Filter adapter:

Plumbing train...will it fit?

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y176/sfbmx88vol2/ultraspeed/DSC01810.jpg

Had to make a small mounting piece:

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y176/sfbmx88vol2/ultraspeed/DSC01812.jpg

Also found an odd bolt that helped everything come together perfectly:

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y176/sfbmx88vol2/ultraspeed/DSC01815.jpg

After everything was lined up and indexed, it all had to come back out and all the fittings tightend up:

Last part of the harness had to be done too:

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y176/sfbmx88vol2/ultraspeed/DSC01883.jpg

Boost control solenoid in the works. Harness done though:

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y176/sfbmx88vol2/ultraspeed/DSC01887.jpg

Modified the stock oil pressure sender so I could monitor the sump pressure through the stock oil pressure gauge. Seemed like it would be hard to get back to electrical ground having to pass through a bunch of aluminum/clamps, so I soldered on its own ground wire.

Air charge side of sump, normal PSI after cold startup:

Been around 200 miles with no problems at all! Oil changes should be abit easier, except for the fact this whole setup requires 3-4 more quarts of oil over the stock 5 quarts.

I will still intercool this car!

Very nice job! I've been running a 3 quart accusump myself for a few years now and love it. Only difference is mine is wired to be on anytime the ignition is on so it's always active. I'm loving the primer button idea though!

Thanks!

I really liked the idea of having the setup work only when I wanted it to. Plus with the dash light hooked up, I think it would've gotten annoying seeing it come on every time the oil pressure dropped below the 55/60psi threshold(valve opens). The primer button is wired into a normally open relay, and once pressed, will stay energized until the pressure rises above 55/60psi. It will automatically shut off.

I like the work you did Andrew. Though I have no idea how that stuff works, I want something nice lke that lol. It's just something about those AN fittings and shinny new oil cooler. Gotta let me check it out when I eventually take my car to your shop
