dstar88 Posted May 26, 2009 Report Share Posted May 26, 2009 (edited) hey guys, im forced to sell this due to the cops here cracking down on things that we put in our cars now..im going to need something more stockish looking. i got this from a fellow starquester and was known to be working good. im not sure who the last person was that was runing it but from what i read, this set up was pretty reliable, and was able to put out some good power. this is just for the manifold, ford tb, ford tps, i think it has an air temp sensor already, and 550cc injectors that came with it., it did not come with sensors otherwise i would add those with this. but since it is the stock manifold just modded to hold 4 injectors in it, all you have to do is swap over the old sensors from your tbi manifold. if you want to run this with MS. let me know. i have that MS fuse thing and harness plus marked wires to help make this install easier. if you want more info, here are some links. : http://www.starquestclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=79305 http://www.starquestclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=79305 EDIT!!: $300 + s/h , or if anyone has any parts to trade ill trade as well (i would rather sell but i am up for an offer .. maybe a good working turbo, front camber plates etc. etc.) i would have loved to try this out on my car.. but i cant risk it.. my car would end up getting impounded if they ask me to pop the hood. so someone please take this and use it, because its not doing me any good staring at it.. Good luck with your sale to tell you the truth...i dont know what exactly the rule is on that.. but when they pull me over and see my gauges they usually always ask. my friend that has a lowered stock 240 said he got stopped once and they asked the same thing, but he said no. they ended up taking him out of the car, cuffing him and sitting him on the side walk, and popping the hood themselves.. i guess the cops get what they want either way..definitely the hiway patrol.. its making me rething my whole mpi build., going to have to get a modded magna with egr on it.. or just get a different car for now and get a starquest later on down the road. i would move..but i like my job right now. dstar88 Posted May 28, 2009 Author Report Share Posted May 28, 2009 you can probably make it work with the ovcp, i dont see why not. you will need some additional couplers and maybe a little bit more piping.. maybe a 90 degree bend...actually i think i have a small 90 degree pipe that i can throw in. then youll just need some couplers to what ever length and it should work eventually. i was actually planing on running it that way too, i was thinking of cutting a peace of the ovcp off at the part that goes to the t/b. run or weld another pipe on, and use the 90 degree bend pipe with some couplers. you can run this with what ever EMS you want to run it with you dont have to use an MS system if you dont want to. but, since i do have the wiring harness and labeled wires for MS it would be allot quicker of an install if you had an MS system. you can still take the wires from the fuse box part and use them with what ever EMS system you want to run to help make it a little easier. speed racer Posted May 31, 2009 Report Share Posted May 31, 2009 Tell the cops to go get a WARRENT if they wanna looky under your hood.You will be sitting and waiting a little while but they probally not gonna get a judge to issue a warrent to see if your engine is modded unless they can prove you were drag racing or some other damn good probable cause.I'm glad I don't have to worry with that here.Everyother car in town would be impounded here for something. I'm not really sure how Cali. is but you may wanna research that law before you cancel your plans. If not send the intake my way.It's the MPI conversion that TEP boasted and does.wasy to expensive for the performance it offers(thier price) but better than TBI and it works.
