Kwfrye Posted March 10, 2009 Report Share Posted March 10, 2009 (edited) Hey Guys, wanted to get some advice and help in locating either original used parts or to see if anyone has experience with aftermarket parts. My son joined the Marine Corps last year, he fell in love with my SQ and he really wanted his own, so when he came home on leave after graduating Marine boot camp he found a black 88 automatic waiting on him. While on leave that week he was driving down a back road one night when a deer jumped out, he swerved to miss it, went too far onto the shoulder hit an embankment and some nice sized rocks. He is now in California in training and I want to get his car back on the road for him so he can enjoy it on his next leave. The accident damaged the right fender, shattered the original airdam and banged up the transmission fluid oil cooler and smashed the secondary AC condenser plus damaged the lines to it. I have a new airdam and can get the fender repaired. Here are some pics of the damage. I would appreciate any thoughts and info on parts. My parts car was missing the secondary AC condenser and the fluid cooler was already damaged worse. I am not much of a mechanic and want to make sure I get this done right for him so any advice is much appreciated.-Thanks! I think the fluid oil cooler in Photo B could be saved. The brackets are damaged but might be able to be straightened. The secondary AC condenser in Photo C looks beyond repair to me. Brackets are really bad. The lines need to be replaced to the AC condenser as you can see in Photo E. The lines are badly crimped.
