The SHP for sale is the Red Quest in my sig below...It would not let me load my pictures to the forum...The pictures on Ebay do not do this car justice either...The car is in excellent condition both running gear and interior...and the exterior (body) is good except for the quarter panel dent and a few dings...Anyone close to Bama is more than welcome to take her for a cruise...She pulls smooth and hard.

I test drove it earlier this week. The car is in great shape. Worth well over the $2100 that it is sitting at currently on Ebay. Unfortunately, the wife has changed her mind once again, I now definitely have to get an automatic so she could drive it in an emergency.

I searched the forums to see just how hard it would be to switch the car over to an automatic. I found one post basically saying not to do it. Something about the auto being bigger than the 5 speed and not fitting without cutting the floor. Is this true? It seems strange to me that the auto and 5 speed cars would have different floors in them. This would make the tooling costs greater for the manufacturer thus making the car more expensive than it was when new. Can someone verify this?

Sweet ride! Almost exactly what I'm looking for. I've owned two of these in the past and am looking to own one again. I've had trouble with the auto antenna with the previous cars I've had. How's this one? (not that it's that big a deal, just curious) Also, for anyone else who might know, are there iPod docs that can be used in these cars easily (without a ton of wires running all around the dash)? At any rate...I'm considering bidding on this bad boy...I just need to sweet talk the wife a bit.

Power Antenna works perfect....No Ipod connections LOL...1989 was still 386 PC's and Walkman Cassette Players! LOL

Jason thanks for speaking highly of the car after giving her a test spin Wednesday night. Glad you enjoyed it...Maybe the wife will change her mind.

I think the No Reserve has helped me with the auction. And my wife called me crazy!

Auction ends tomorrow nite @ 8PM CST...Looks like my No Reserve is going to make me sweat...I think the car is worth more than the current $2251 its fetching...At that price someone is going to get a great deal in my opinion. And to think I turned down an offer of $4800 for this car last summer (before the quarter panel dent). Guess that dent hurts worse that I thought.

Damn....nice car! I just put my maximum bid allowed by law (my wife) and got instantly beat out. Congrats on the sale...I hope you are getting what you wanted for it. I'll have to keep looking. If I could've lined up a sale for my Mustang in advance, I may have been able to bid more (and I would have).
