89PalermoSHP
I got the complete set from this b-hole seller when they were still available as a full set. Maybe someone could ask him to get an actual photo of the struts. Im sure he wont respond to me lol.
Sully
lol... It does kinda make me wonder though. If they ran out of Paint X so they used Paint Y. Would they substitue Valve X for Valve Z if they ran out? Anybody got a shock dyno?? lol
89PalermoSHP
lol... It does kinda make me wonder though. If they ran out of Paint X so they used Paint Y. Would they substitue Valve X for Valve Z if they ran out? Anybody got a shock dyno?? lol Im not taking them apart for a while lol! It wasnt that bad of a job but Im glad its behind me. One thing people need to keep in mind is that strut is only one part of the suspension. Just because the better of the options for struts arent available anymore doesnt mean you cant get you car to handle well. The combo of struts(kyb in my case), eibach springs, addco swaybars, energy suspension bushings, and 225/45-16 fronts made it handle quite well in my opinion. So the plot thickens.... heres the kyb's I got today that were pained blue!!?? http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w202/89PalermoSHP/bluekyb.jpg http://l.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/mesg/emoticons7/4.gif Edited January 7, 2009 by 89PalermoSHP

PDX87Starion
Guys... The KYB's that were sold through Carquest came in different boxes and were BLACK. Although they should have the part number stamped on them, not just written on the box, and should look exactly like these except for the color. http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d182/Professor-Quest123/Front%20Suspension/KYB-GR2-1.jpg These are the ones that Professor Quest is selling BTW. ColdScrip
sorry...lol This thread got a little off track but hopefully all ended well. Give any more thought about springs? Nobody has convinced me otherwise. Why are you hinting towards the ones your selling? lol
89PalermoSHP
Convinced you otherwise of what? Yes, Ive got a set for sale. From the pics, it looks like you stripped you car pretty good. If you were going that far(or even just having the struts off), why not go with new springs? The funniest part of when I changed my springs is that the eibachs(and the ST's) supposedly lower the car 1", it actally raised my car once I installed the eibachs. I take this to mean the stockers were pretty much worn and saggy. I guess it depends on the condition of your springs and your personal decision to change them or not. Either way, best of luck. Convinced that they should be swapped. The reason is I don't have an unlimited budget. I feel such money would do better replacing harder to replace things for when the car is together. For instance the rebuilt motor, mounts, etc. Really do appreciate it though.
