Started a new thread because the car is still for sale but at a new price.

**New Info:

Only fires on cylinders 1 & 4, does not burn oil, or any oil or smoke coming from tail pipe.

 

My friend still thinks its the spark ignition box needs replaced.**

 

 

 

 

I have for sale a great 1988 TSI Conquest CLEAR TITLE IN HAND with only 110k on the it.

It is in running order. It has a new OEM Clutch, New Tires, New Plugs, New fuel Pump, The Fuel tanked was boiled out.

 

 

Not Working:

 

~One fuel injector/spark will miss fire sometimes

~ OD stopped working @ 107K

~ Speedometer

~ A/C

~ Hand Brake

this sucks, in 3 weeks I'll be less than 3 hours away :(

 

 

I actually drove 6hrs to look at the car and was surprised to see its all original under the hood...all the way down to the vacuum hoses. The only things I noticed was that the car did not have the power steering working and it did not want to accellerate properly (I was stummped on what could be causing it). The engine needs TLC but the car overall has alot of potential.

Thank You, I am stumped as well and as you know I have my other project car to still attend to. I need to stop blowing off the Inter-cooler Piping...lol (Turbocharged 2003 SVT Focus)

would you be willing to meet me in indianapolis? according to mapquest we are 7 hours apart, and I am pretty sure you have to drive right through indianapolis to get there so it would make a decent midway point. I would be willing to pay your share in gas.

let me know if they fall through I have a 79 Firebird Drag car Roller that I would trade with you. Its got a Cage, ford 9" moser axles, spool, Disc brakes all the way around, 4" cowl hood. And more, Im asking $1500 for the bird, but I would trade even for the quest and meet you in Marion , IL.
