It is, but im paying her daily this time and she ain't going no where.

Got a new oem mitsu shift knob of ebay for 20 bucks. Skull was too big and loosey goosey.

Also did a full detail of the car and shoot. I'll make a thread in the bs section once all pictures are up!

375 should be cake with an LS1! If I can get a reliable 250 on the G54, I'm calling it done. Lol

Its awesome to see someone drift these things! Any vids of that?

Theres a couple vids ill have to look for em. Worked on it some more today and theres going to have to be some major tranny tunnel bashing haha. Motor sits fine in the bay but the trans gets stuck. BLAAAAAAAAH

scotty how much would you want. and theres a few small gouges in #3 and a few broken timing case bolts. ive been contemplating getting mine rebuilt. but ifi can get a good running motor for cheaper id go that route as well.

Nother update!

 

Motor and trans crossmembers are donezo and the car is sitting on its own 4 wheels with no support from anything for the first time in days! Also thought i had the colum to rack situation figured out but i dropped it cause it was way to much of a pita. Probably just going to get all 240 stuff from the end of the column to the the rack. Did get the rack in, centered and the wheels eyballed straight and checked out the angle though. Looks like a tub is in order as i rub baaaaaaad at full lock, can't wait to drive it.

Measured it today.. 4.5 inches which is PLENTY! A friend of mine dailys his car an inch above this

Today i completely stripped the bumper and painted it, made new air damn brackets and threw in all new bolts

Here's an update that ive been wanting to do for a while.... I FINALLY HAVE WORKING STEERING. It took a bunch of trouble shooting but its finally done. Here's what had to happen to get it to work.. I had to go to the junkyard and buy 2 240sx steering shafts. You also need two 240sx steering u joints. I pulled the collumn, cut the stock coupler off and welded a brand new oem 240sx u joint to the end of the collumn that goes through the firewall. Then you take your two 240sx steering shafts and cut the splined end off one of them . I put that piece on to the end of the other shaft so no both ends are splined. Then its just getting the shaft length right so you can remove it. Then it all gets welded up and installed! and doooooone!

240sx return line matches are subframe perfectly.

For the feed im using a -6 teflon braided line which a local shop is making for me...

Basically headers and routing my harness and i can start this skank! :P

Well i'd definitely go 240 over mustang if you want to keep the 54b. Mustang is in the front of the cross member and would require custom steering pieces like john has as well as a rear sump oil pan and pick up tube to be made for the g54b to clear the rack. Im not sure if the 240 rack will clear a stock pan but we'll find out short enough when scotty don't converts his car.

Thanks man you car is also hella clean! My boss is going to be building them as i know it will be way easier for him but ill be there for moral support haha... I ran the wiring harness on the engine side of things today probably going to have to hole saw and grommet the firewall to get this huge arse plugs through but it doesn't bother me!

I ran it through the A/C ports hole like serpent did. At this point I don't even have the blower motor in the dash...Something I need to do soon. I also need to do my gauges. What are you going to do with the exhaust. I always wondered what an ls1 would sound like coming out of one 3" apexi muffler...lol. I think it would add to the "sleeper"..ness...?
