JustAConquest Posted July 6, 2007 Report Share Posted July 6, 2007 well ive been tryin to sell my quest for a while cuz i never could decide what to do, but ive been researching and i think im gonna go with the 4g63 since its already super strong without having to do bottom end work. getting the motor is easy, we have alot of junk 1g eclipses around, but i read the stuff on other site about how to do the swap, is there any easier way, i dont have access to a big machine shop, this is a backyard garage swap. can anyone give me some advice on how to start? thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If you want a bolt up swap the easiest way to do it these days is to get the adapter bellhousing from Bill on my site. It lets you bolt an unopened 4G63 to a Supra transmission. It uses a FWD flywheel and pressure plate and a supra disk. You will need to have someone make a transmission crossmember and driveshaft for you though. Is it the later 6 speed out of the 93 and newer supras, or the 5 speed out of the mark 3 supras, 86.5-92. Dont quote me on the supra model years plz.
