Lives4Speed Posted April 4, 2006 Report Share Posted April 4, 2006 What's the advantage of 3.90 gears, and what gears do we have on 88's :?3.90 gears will increase your engine's RPMs at any given speed over the stock 3.55 (if I remember the ratio correctly). This gets your engine into it's power band quicker on take off thus making your car a little quicker but giving up a little top end speed and economy (higher RPMs).Without getting too technical, I hope that helps.
