ezearrl Posted June 20, 2003 Report Share Posted June 20, 2003 If a guy hooked up the turbo boost aka jump button, then all you'd have to do is head for a river or closed bridge, then you could jump over the gap and leave the cops behind. Kinda like the Duke boys, just more realistic cause the cops would be sooo amazed they would just have to call off the choppers and squad cars on the other side of the river!!! Then you'd get away clean and not have to worry about the brake lights at all By the way, the Dukes of Hazzard was cancelled in part by the influence of car collectors getting really pissed at all the Chargers being wrecked every time they jumped one. ilikestarion Posted December 14, 2003 Report Share Posted December 14, 2003 best movie is getaway in stockholm. nothing else even comes close. in getaway in stockholm 2, a 400hp supra and 400hp escort cosworth race all through the city. running from cops, all kinds of stuff. p.s. 30 minutes of REAL racing is pretty damn intense and it's on kazaa. P.S.S running from cops is stupid. you can outrun a car, but can you outrun a radio? (no flames, i've gotten away before, but your luck runs out some day right?) One was a solid black Daytona, looked similar to the original TA For the best tricked out car, see the VAN in "MEALS ON WHEELS", a precursor to Cannonball Run 2, with arguably Jackie Chans BEST work!! -Great flick Side note: Don't risk running from the Po-Po Not worth losing your car man. Also as far as the lights go, just start ripping out random fuses while your driving till it all goes dark! OR, you could also duct tape a 1 million candle power redneck deer hunting spotlight to your roof plugged into the 12v cig lighter thingy and then turn all your light off! Think about it, being able to run at night, with headlights, but no lights behind you for anybody to see you. I started looking into it when i realized that there wasn't a truly practical use for it. Lead_Foot Posted February 2, 2005 Report Share Posted February 2, 2005 what you should do is do what i did go the easyer rought. i hooked up a toggle swith in my car the controls the runing lights so at night i flip the toggle up and granted my heed lights dont come up but the running light put off enough light to drive. and if it's raining and you want a little light to be on the (safe side) you can just run with it on the only bad part is you can tell when i brake so i have gotten very good at down shifting. ;D ;D ;D Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Its like one of those TV shows that puts together all the crazy things caught on tape. He was lucky to survive from that wreck but the car was busted up really bad. Theres also a cool video of a WRX smoking all 4 tires from the pit, around the track,and back to the pit. On TV, I've seen many impressive motorcycle chases (they always crash at the end though), A couple times ive seen people steal police cars. I saw the corvette explode into the back of a semi. The one I have never seen was the one where a guy got away because he had no brake lights. That being said, knock yourself out, its your car, mod the s*** out of it. To disable brake lights, you can easily add a switch onto your brake pedal swich. If you run secondary wiring and swich to your headlights, you can turn all your lights off, and run just headlights. You can probably put a swich on your fuse to your running lights and turn them off independantly (or you could just pull the fuse...) Since I was a little boy I wanted to rig up a car with forward and rear mounted rockets and oil slick 8) Some mods ive dreamed up, but havnt had the balls to actually do: Rig the rear window washer to spray paint (to spray paint on the windshield of the chasing car) Oil Slick: 2 ports in rear buper in line with the tires, They pump both oil and water, or possibly pump lots of water, and spray a little bit of oil on top of water) Forward and rear mounted rockets:They need to be tilted slightly upward (so when you hit your brakes/accellerate, they dont fall out of launch tubes), and for aiming (to aim front rockets, hit brakes till front end dips to the proper angle for distance, launch rockets, let off brakes. reverse the technique for rear rockets)Launch tubes need slots for rocket fins, and also to align ignition wires when rockets are loaded.Tubes need thin paper covers (to keep junk out of launch tubes, and help keep rockets in place for launch). Ive also pondered tire flattening devices, you could do the old dump a box of tacks on the road (or rig up something to dump them from yoru bumper or something). but i dont think tacks, or even U-nails welded together to make a spikey ball will do much. But if you made some spikey balls, and put sharpened tubes on the spikes, plastic inserts to hold the tubes onto the spikes) then it will inect the tube into the tire, as the tire spins the spikey ball flys off leaving sharpened tube in tire. Rig a mechanism/hatch in the bumper or rear of the car that drops a few of them out, For comedy, wire your brake switch to the horn relay I saw a video of a guy getting pranked this way, it was really funny, for about a minute.
