heefner
Scotty, I think you may be on to something. I'm diggin it. I think the small rectangular headlights maybe why you are getting that early 80's mustang vibe.
D_Venable
Here's my latest idea. Front fender is a little twisted. http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/wetoddimage.wtdr/i=wMjI2NDc1NnM0MTNkZmQzMXk1NDE%3D.jpg It carries the stock lines, but its lower to the ground, has non flip up headlights using dual-beam 4"x6" lamps, the hood is most like the one on the 4WD rally Starion with its lines and vent, and the bottom most portion of the front one piece bumper is actually an adjustable air splitter. Kougar
Wow! Both those drawings could get some big feedback from all of us, and other car guys. There's probablly a pretty big market sitting in those drawings, but that's just me. Great way to make these cars even less likely to be identified ;D
Raving_Sterno
it reminds me of an early to mid 80's mercury capri http://bewilderment.geeksanon.ca/pics/Capri.jpg ~J
Funky Phil
Youve all inspired me so much I did my own. Now im no artist so bear with me. I included pics off the cars that I took the ideas from. I personally like our flip ups so I retained them. Anything to distance us from camaros! http://www.geocities.com/my88starion/aerokit.jpg
D_Venable
Phinko, not bad. By the way, your pic isn't showing up on this site. I right clicked, properties, copy/pasted your URL to see it. Here's another, lower, angle of my other drawing. http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/wetoddimage.wtdr/i=wMjMyMDk5NnM0MTNkZmQzMXk1NDE%3D.jpg Derek
D_Venable
Here's my idea for the rear bumper that would also have an air diffuser built in. http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/wetoddimage.wtdr/i=wMjMyNTgyNnM0MTNkZmQzMXk1NDE%3D.jpg Not sure if I like the side skirts though. willmoodom
Damn! Now that is a sweet ride. Especially with the diffuser on it. All these bomb a** picts sketches and no way to bring them to life. And the skirts look like they belong. I just purchased a new airdam and I'd spend another 5-600 for D's bodykit. How hard is it to get a manufacturer for these sketches? Would 10- 15 buyers get it done?
Funky Phil
Well if you can afford those veilside rims Im sure you can find the cash to have a kit made. Does anybody know the body measurements of our cars against the 2nd gen Rx-7's? I just wonder how hard it would be to modify one of their kits to fit us. Starion88esir
I'm almost certain that the Starion is wider than the 7's are. I'll see if I can't find the measurements for them I've got both around here somewhere.
Funky Phil
Im just trying to feel this out. How many of you would be willing to put down $675 for a full aero kit. If I can gather 10 I may have a place that can do us a full custom kit.

Front rear and sides all for $675 sounds real good, but it's always nicer if it's a complete one-off.
Funky Phil
The company will only do it if atleast 10 go in with the cash. they will all be of the same design but it will be our design. Dvenable is working on the sketch as we speak. Then if there is enough interest Ill have a poll on the kit within those who are going to buy one. Starion88esir
If you use the front and rear from the drawing above in this topic and this page then I'm 100% down. Just want different sides.
willmoodom
" I'd spend another 5-600 for D's bodykit." I second Starion88esir,s statement. If the kit comes with the front and rear like D_Venables sketch I'm 100% in on that buy. How long would it take to get together? Maybe by spring of 2004? Fingers crossed for something
D_Venable
phinko, where is this shop at? Just wondering. If this were put off till this next summer, and the shop is within an hour of were I live, I would donate my car for measuring, don't think I'll have any money to buy though. Here is the drawing you asked me to do: http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/wetoddimage.wtdr/i=wMjMzODg2NnM0MTNkZmQzMXk1NDE%3D.jpg I'll get a full view with my bumpers for comparison within a day or two, and I'll play with some different ideas for side skirts. Any input on the design is welcome and appreciated. Derek
