StarQuestRims
here are a few things to clear up some missunderstandings 1. once i get enough people (20) we can go to te next step 2. the next step is to design the wheel. it will look allot the same but itmust be different for copyright purposes. 3. to start/complete the design step it must be paid for, there is a fee. depending on the amount StarQuestRims will pick up the tab or the fee will be devided between the 20. 4. once the design is completed the twenty will have a chance to review it. you can back out at this point but you will not be refunded the fee paid. if enough stay in then then the wheels will be made. but first the payment in full for the wheels is needed. 5. my guess is 1-2 months to start the design 6. my guess is 6 months before the wheels can be made 7. these wheels will not be chromed not polished they will look stock mark v
GoldNBlack
I wish I could be seriously interested but I'd probably never be allowed to spend that much. Anyway, after I saw the mention of having to make a casting mold, I thought why would you bother with cast wheels anymore. So I did some browsing for billet wheels and came across this: http://www.wheelsforless.com/gtx01.htm http://www.billetspecialties.com/assets/500/gtx01.jpg I thought custom billet cut wheels would be expensive, which is why you were looking at cast but these seem like a good deal 17x8 - $315, 17x9.5 - 337.5 This looks like its already close to our stock look. Maybe they could mod this design a little to make it look even closer to ours. It sounds like they are all custom cut so I wouldn't think there would be a huge increase in price. And maybe with the bulk buy they would even lower the price. Steve
Turborusty
here are a few things to clear up some missunderstandings 2. the next step is to design the wheel. it will look allot the same   but itmust be different for copyright purposes. 7. these wheels will not be chromed not polished they will look stock mark v What about these Z-28 camaro knock-offs that you can get in 17-18-and 20"? And the Dodge Dakota R/T wheels are copied in sizes up to 20-22" How do they get around the copyright stuff? 7.? They will not be polished or chromed? I like polished but I'm not crazy about chrome. I already told my wife that when these come available, we will be approx. $1,000 poorer. Sorry Babe. Turborusty
BlueBaller
Mark, you KNOW I am very interested. Put me on your list. I have a question: Just how DIFFERENT will the rims look considering MITSU's copyrights? Thanks.

MWisdom
Contact Mitsubishi headquarters and just ask for permission. But on the otherhand automotive manufacture stop making parts after 10 year on that make and model anyway and then becomes a discontinued part, meaning they will not make it anymore. It can become open market to anyone who takes the time to reinvest in the product. And on the otherhand it would already be different than stock because your considering making it 17" or 18", again stock is 16" there is your difference. Mitsubishi patent would be specific to 16" wheels only.
