;)  I told all of you I would get it going. Just needed to work things out. Thanks for all of your patience.

I am working with someone right now and I can get any compression and oversize with the Wiseco rings for $420 shipped!

How does that sound to everyone?

Now, if you could just please post or email or PM me to let me know the specifics of what you want, I can get a list together and we can get this going.

I will also try to gather info from the previous Wiseco GP post to contact everyone and see if they still want what they originally posted.

Thanks

Jim Daley

OK I'll Bite !

But One question first...

I will like to stay close to OEM Compression (7.0 to 1) as the car will mainly be a Road Race or Long track car and NOT a DRAG Car. If I go to a 0.040 Overbore piston and INCREASING to 7.5 or 8.0 to 1 Compression will THAT bring me back down to close to 7.0 to 1, or does one things HAS NOTHING to do with the OTHER ?

But in any case, I would like:

1 Order of Pistons, 0.040  7.5 to 1 Ratio (May Change Pending answer from above question)

1 Order of Rings

And a LARGE Chocolate shake  ;D

Thanks for the GP

It was ABOUT TIME.... Sheesh !  ;D ;D ;D

I guess you did not require the HELP of my friends HUH ?

OK, Oscar, I'll put you down for a set of pistons/rings .040 over with 7.5:1 compression. The compression will not affect the bore and vice versa.

We might have some trouble fitting that chocolate shake in for that price.  ;D

No, I guess your "people" weren't needed after all.  8)

Thanks

Jim

Bore size doesn't affect C/R. It's how dished the pistons are in addition to the deck height and head cc that somewhat deterimines final C/R

Your still safe going with the 8:1's and throw on a thicker headgasket to lower the C/R down to 7.5:1

Thanks Mike

So I should be SAFE with the 8:1 on a road corse type situation...Hi-RPMs for sustained periods of time ?

OK... I blow my engine I'll be coming after you man .... ;D

But thanks, I'll update my choice.

i was also told to go with chrome rings for turbo applications, look at mkiv Toyota Supra, people putting down 800hp to the wheels on stock motors and more, so something has to be true about chrome rings, Rob NJ.

Compression ratio and Dome/Dish volume determine combustion efficiency and resistance to detonation.

The compression height is the distance from the center of the pin hole to the deck of the piston.

This is about the extent I can help you.

I am not sure if there is more of a reason for the different shapes other than compression differences.

Anyone else?
