Contsi
In the middle of replacing valve cover gasket. Looks like 2 bolts under valve cover needs to be removed. Thanks
scott87star
If I recall clearly you just start loosening the cam caps from the back forward until you can move the plug out, no bolts come all the way out, the valve spring pressure opens it up. Contsi
Thanks for the quick response I figured but I left it alone. It may be ok. Gasket needed replacing. Didn’t want to get into it today, dealing with torque spec and stuff.
psu_Crash
Just FYI torque spec on the valve cover is important. It isn't supposed to be as tight as you think. Many an over tightened VC have been warped and leaked.
Contsi
Yes thanks Had the heads up from Dad on my valve cover post. Didn’t have a torque wrench that went that low but I don’t believe I over tightened it.
