Must be there for backup supply during times of sudden boost and whatnot. I think in the vid he mentioned turbo cars. That would explain why a caravan doesn't have it. Actually when I first got my head I installed and ran it for a good long while without noticing the cutout and never had any issues. No noise, no wear. It was when i did a rebuild that I took care of it. Lol, I've also never had issue with too much oil pressure.. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
