I recently swapped out my TT with another one. The difference in length of TT is because the differential sizes are different. A larger diff is needed for a LSD so the TT is shorter. A Non LSD TT is about two inches longer than the LSD TT. The splined coupler is the same on both diffs. Drive shafts should be the same between auto and manual cars. quikconq Posted April 8, 2015 Author Report Share Posted April 8, 2015 Wrong sanchez,,,,I have the manual transmission TT ' S in my possession....the actual outer Tube is identical 87-89,,, the spline coupler is shorter in length and smaller around where the diff seal is,on the 87 yr...The internal shaft is identical inLength and otherwise... Ive been waiting 2 weeks for these parts (6 bolt conversion parts) and (torque tube) I ordered and Id like to know what is going on with them.
