Dyno testing

Recommended Posts

Sorry to thread jack but here's a better pic of that log. You can see my MAP was very noisy, causing AE/DE to trigger. I've since switched to 100% TPS accel.

I've changed exhaust and turbo since the 2014 dyno. My old exhaust was a 2.5" downpipe to 3" back, not the best for this car. Last winter I went full 3" stainless and switched to a Holset.

I wouldn't say it's making less power now. Previous dyno made 382whp@ 16psi on a rich tune vs the old, 393whp@ 18-19 psi. At 19 psi on the new set up it should definitely make more power and torque if dynoed. I've recently ran it at 22 psi a couple of times, pulls way better than the old set up.

This is the 4th turbo being used... first was a 57 trim, T67, 60-1 and now Holset. Just like to experiment with it.

The 60-1 had a more progressive response as compared to the Holset which lags then wake up all of a sudden. I like the on off throttle feel of the 60-1.

My old MPI car had a T3/T4 57mm Garrett .63 turbine housing, specs close to yours. It was very nice on the streets especially between 18-23 psi. That seemed to be the sweet spot.
