importwarrior
http://www.racetep.com/starturbo.html http://www.racetep.com/carpics/T3T4starcoatedsm.jpgATP turbo 3 inch waste gate.http://www.atpturbo.com/mm5/graphics/00000001/Catalog%20Images/Wastegate/ATP-WGT-023_450.jpgmine is not external gated. well i go the T-46534T3-T04BSuper H wheelF-1 57 trim turbineinternal gated T3 .82a/r5 bolt turbine housing.Rated up tp 550 hp3 inch exhaust from turbo back. that is a mouth full. the turbo is nice. it spools great, just nothing seems to happenuntill i get to 3500, LAG City. once i get to 4500 it is a beast buti hit the rev limiter at 6K before i really get much out of it.i just dont like this setup for a daily driver. the .82 is just too big.my Car has a opened exhaust manifold with T3 adapter all ported.52 mm T-body2-1/4 intercooler pipes.650 1050 injectors once on the boost it moves good. i just dont want to wait till nextTuesday to get boost. i have to rev the heck out of it to get itmoving. other then that light throttle it is like naturally aspirated.i know the car is running good i just am used to the smaller turbos.car ran great with the 18G TD06.in stock casings.. put 100 miles on it so far and i cant wait to get a different turbo.i miss the 18G TD06 in the stock housings. I will be getting a different turbo Soon... Edited June 29, 2014 by importwarrior
freebird
try holding the wastegate tighter if its adjustable?is there a nut by the part of the actuator that hooks to the wastegate arm? what wastegate are you running?Got any pics of your setup? How much boost do you get when it does boost? I only ask all these questions cause I have ran a turbo just like that before, with maybe a difference in wheel size.T3 footprint, but t04b compressor......that should boost sooner even with the .82 A/R Either your wastegate is leaking boost......Or maybe you just need more gas? importwarrior
i had to pull the waste gate arm about 1/4 to halfinch to get it on the wast gate flapper.i will check it again. with my boost controller i canachieve any boost i set it to no problem. just seemsto take a while. The more i think about it you makegood sense. Thanks for the information. waste gate: http://www.turboneti...&product_id=360 http://www.turboneticsinc.com/store/image/cache/data/wastegates/dualportactuator-250x250.png. freebird
the back port of that actuator should vent right? try making it tight enough to where you may have to pry it to your bolt location. If you boost sooner and better you know there is a wastegate leak. Funky Phil
yep, you should have to pull it pretty hard to get it where you want it.

importwarrior
Well i went from an 82 A/R to a smaller A/R and it is night and daydifference. since the turbine specs are similar to what i had with myold turbo TD06, the smaller A/R with my F1-57 Trim spools like myold stock housings TD06 18G. the good thing is the compressor isbigger then the 18G. car is like a stock boosted turbo quest with a3 inch turbo back but with a 52 lb/min compressor Wheel. Spools like a stock turbo. I Am Very Very Very Happy. http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q299/I-W/Turbo/T4B-Super-H/BCDCB031-2EEC-4F91-9D86-AC5011B9058E_zpsbp7t3t55.jpg Edited June 29, 2014 by importwarrior

'87quest
Glad you got it setup the way you like it! I'm a fan of quicker spooling turbine wheels as well
importwarrior
Still getting use to it.Almost feels like it is almost too fast.Just dialed it in to 18 psi. Would probablybe good for autocross. So far so good. Edited June 29, 2014 by importwarrior
Shelby
Still getting use to it.Almost feels like it is almost too fast.Just dialed it in to 18 psi. Would probablybe good for autocross. So far so good. you just had a lesson about the difference in drag racing and daily driver set ups , trying to 'have both at the same time don't work out too well , you normally have to give up a little of each to be happy
importwarrior
thats true. the setup i got was a great deal i could not pass it up.if i were to buy it out right i would never got the 82 in thefirst place i would get the 63.
