prototype78
Hello, i have been trying to get digital dashes to do the conversion, but the only thing I could get was 3...2 have been converted, ive been testing it on my 87 tsi...and so far it works with my fuel unit...and uses the analog speed sensor.....I was wondering if anybody would be interested in this dash.... next week ill take the dash to a friends house to see if fuel gauge works good on his 89 starion . Apparently these digital dash are almost extinct so it was hard for me to get my hands on some more...ill be selling the dash and harness for $535 shipped and since I never was able to get my hands on the a/c plugs...that wont be available with the harness

MotoCam360
Check the facebook Starion forum. There's a dude on there today with a Technica cluster and a full digital cluster for sale for $100ea. He says he's interfaced them to late model cars already too. Maybe you guys can trade some secrets.

ucw458
I've done this as well. Got my notes on the swap somewhere. It was almost finished when I moved. Haven't gotten back to it yet.
Coke
This is becoming a very big topic for discussion lately. Problem is, Tim doesn't have any notes, nor does he have the car, because I bought it. Maxzillian was involved in this coming to fruition, but what it comes down to, is looking at the FSM schematics and re-pinning the plugs so the inputs match eachother. ucw458
I wasn't re-pinning the connections on mine. I was making a plug in harness using the harness off an analog gauge cluster. I have notes wire for wire. I think the gas gauge was the last thing to do on mine. I also have the harness for the HVAC.
Xtreme Industries
if this is indeed plug and play, I may be interested in the near future. I am considering buying another conquest, just waiting on info from seller.

ucw458
The analog gauge uses a 2 wire sender while the digital gauge uses a 3 wire sender. I was gonna see if there was a way to use the 2 wire unit on the digital dash when life interrupted and the project got put on hold.
