Agressivedsm
Bringing this beast back to life. Just got it running and am trying to trim the fat somto speak. I am in a state where emissions are not a concern so i have deleted the cats but i am looking at fab'ing up a downpipe but that odd shaped oem o2 sensor looks to be a pain in the rear. Being this is just the old school single wire o2 is there any serious concern to deleting this little guy? I am also planning on adding an o2 bung for my aem wideband. I am hoping to just run 2.5 straight back
Malykaii
Not 100% sure on this... but last I checked the o2 isnt for emissions but to monitor the exhaust gasses and send a signal to the ecu. The ecu then adjusts the fuel map accordingly. In short you need it.
Agressivedsm
I know its purpose but more or less was curious if anyone here has done away with it on this platform. Maybe used a simulator in its place. I ve seen posts where people have done 3/4 wire conversion, just now sure how much its needed in this simple of a platform. importwarrior
some run 3 wire but most run the stock 1 wire.i feel it is needed. even some use the LC1 to run thenarrow and wide band. but very few.Narrow to ECU and wide to the gauge. Shelby
you can do away with that 02 sensor if you want but you will be rebuilding an engine and reinstalling that 02 sensor with in a yr that missing sensor tells the ecu the out side temp is -48f and holds the ecu in open loop and tht slowly adds gas to the oil
