Malykaii
Quick question... how do you intend to actually use a torque wrench to do that? Unless the motor is on a bench I can't see it. When I bolted on the manifold on my n/a montero and then later converted to turbo... both times I used swivel sockets and box wrenches as I felt there was no good way to torque. Went in three stages of snug, one finger tight, then two fingers tight. The three downpipe bolts were also by hand... its a soft gasket so you can feel when its good. If you have a plan and insist good sir, I'll get the 88 montero fsm out of the truck tomorow.
Burabuda
ok then a better question would be "do i need to use a torque wrench in this situation?"and the answer seems to be "no"
spadey
I wouldn't worry about it had my manifold off about 6 times and never torqued it lol just make it tight. But don't strip the bolts.
