  11. hi all, having already sealed the oil pan up on g54b and installed the oil pickup tube with paper gasket i've discovered the starquest parts locator shows a separate o-ring in addition to the paper gasket should remove the sealed oil pan to install this o-ring? http://www.starquestgarage.com/partsloc/conquest/1988/88_conquest_partsloc_nav.html 9a 3600
  12. either the "L" shape starquest or any other g54b style that isn't completely rusty. tia!
  13. n/ait's a narrowblock with the small 5spd i've heard the narrowblock 5spds are strong for their size but haven't actually heard they're suitable for turbo engines
  14. ^ many thanks indy! what i'm doing is i've got a shortblock 2.6 crate engine that i'm attempting to make complete by cannibalizing my 2.0 but finding that not all the 2.0 bits transfer over
  15. ^ very helpful thx! looks like your version has alternate oil pickup boltup location (funny the oil pans look identical) here's a pic of my narrowblock 54. any ideas what these three 6mm holes are used for? http://i56.tinypic.com/xcit4w.jpg
  16. why you might ask? well i'm swapping my g52b pan & oil pickup onto my g54b, and find that the oil pickup tube bolt pattern is different between the two i'd like to see a pic to see if i can use a g54b pickup tube or if i need to splice the two tubes thx!
