brianpaul98
I think Pink Floyd is on e of the most iconic bands of all time. I remember borrowing the cassette tape from my dad and listening to it up in my room. My mother was hearing all these crazy sounds like plane engines screaming and babies crying and didn't know what was going on. I use to listen to this at night and fall asleep having the craziest dreams. Man I love Floyd..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xpxd3pZAVHI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J8fFVOoqepc

I think I would rather not have known what war it like. I'm thankful for what our troops are doing to keep us safe and free but now that I know myself a whole lot better I'd just rather not be in the mix. The oldies really got hold of me. Vietnam, Nixon Watergate scandal, Kennedy assassination, werewolf's and the end of the world. I decided to just go and see if John Fogerty who wrote the song had anything to say about it : According to songfacts.com, Rolling Stone magazine interviewed the song’s author, John Fogerty, and asked him about the song’s origins. Fogerty stated the lyrics were inspired by a movie called The Devil and Daniel Webster, in which a storm wiped out most of a town. That is where he got the idea for the lyrics “I hear hurricanes a-blowin’, I know the end is coming soon”. I personally like the werewolf version Edited September 9, 2013 by brianpaul98
