I think Pink Floyd is on e of the most iconic bands of all time. I remember borrowing the cassette tape from my dad and listening to it up in my room. My mother was hearing all these crazy sounds like plane engines screaming and babies crying and didn't know what was going on. I use to listen to this at night and fall asleep having the craziest dreams. Man I love Floyd.....

I tried to enlist when I was 16 but because of a medical condition they didn't want me. I think I would rather not have known what war it like. I'm thankful for what our troops are doing to keep us safe and free but now that I know myself a whole lot better I'd just rather not be in the mix.

The oldies really got hold of me. Boy what a simpler time and no lip sync'in going on either.

Quentin Tarantino uses some really awesome stuff in his films!

Death Proof

and

Jackie Brown

-N8

Quentin isn't much of an actor but he makes a good movie. A bit of a retro kind of guy too

I have heard a few ideas of what this song really meant and they were all different. Vietnam, Nixon Watergate scandal, Kennedy assassination, werewolf's and the end of the world. I decided to just go and see if John Fogerty who wrote the song had anything to say about it :

According to songfacts.com, Rolling Stone magazine interviewed the song’s author, John Fogerty, and asked him about the song’s origins. Fogerty stated the lyrics were inspired by a movie called The Devil and Daniel Webster, in which a storm wiped out most of a town. That is where he got the idea for the lyrics “I hear hurricanes a-blowin’, I know the end is coming soon”.

I personally like the werewolf version :)

Just joking, the werewolf story only came about because the song was in the movie American Werewolf in London.
