austinyoung420 Posted June 12, 2013 Report Share Posted June 12, 2013 neith one of my windows roll up or down 1988 conquest, and I hooked a battery directly to my right side motor and it didnt move at all does this mean its shot?can I rebuild them at all?is there a relay that must be applied with power?? austinyoung420 Posted June 13, 2013 Author Report Share Posted June 13, 2013 they both worl with power hooked directly up to the motor but the switches I guess, shoudlnt there be power coming from one of the wires going to the switch?I checked with a test light and got nothing. Guest Posted June 17, 2013 Report Share Posted June 17, 2013 (edited) The window motors in these cars don't go bad. Never heard of one crapping out. The switch is more likely the culprit, as stated, disassemble them, clean them and apply so electric grease. Mitsu made hella good quality electric motors. I know all the new cars have window motors that crap out not long after warranty. It's a big business.
