dmyers151
Considering selling my scooped and vented '83 Starion hood. It was painted ~3 years ago in a PPG mix of Serbia Black (X15), matches good condition stock paint. Was taken down to metal and partially restored. It's all metal with a skim coat of bondo to cover minor imperfections. Comes with the underhood fiberglass heat blanket and metal heat shield. http://i471.photobucket.com/albums/rr71/dmyers151/Conquest%20TSi/0328091240.jpg-http://i471.photobucket.com/albums/rr71/dmyers151/0418091254.jpg-http://farm5.staticflickr.com/4045/4675257479_ef31fdab02_b.jpg-http://farm5.staticflickr.com/4025/4673615030_38d5c72d40_b.jpg-http://farm5.staticflickr.com/4041/4675232653_1cefdf0585_b.jpg- I am not interested in shipping, I'm far too busy to construct a crate or container. If you live far away and would like to purchase the hood, feel free to set something up with someone local. I'd be glad to drive a few miles (30-45 minutes) and drop it off to someone who'll ship it for you. Asking $600. Josh429er
I think Your car is one of the straight up sexiest on the forum. Why are you ditching the hood.
dmyers151
I'm tired of worrying about it being so rare, with people always wanting to lean on my car for some reason, and local idiots driving like blindfolded circus animals. I politely ask people not to touch it, and they get all pissy like I asked them to stop breathing around me. I guess if they knew about all the effort that went into it, they'd be less likely to get so handsy and/or upset. I like to try and daily the car, and the hood with the vents and scoop, will take on a little water on the rainy days. I think it deserves a better home on a car more suited to sunny weather, weekend drives and car shows. It all boils down to making myself feel better about driving the car every day, and it came to either selling the entire car, or a few of the rare parts. psu_Crash
P.S. Don't sell your car! If I were you I wouldn't even sell the hood
dmyers151
I won't sell the car, my mom won't let me, lol. The hood was something neat to have when I first got the car, was the selling point for me infact. But now, it's more of a hindrance and belongs on a car that isn't driven as often as I'd like to be driving mine. I've got a few ideas in mind for a modified standard hood that should treat me just as well.
Josh429er
Don't they make a fiberglass reproduction of the 83'? Id hunt one down, but mine needs alooooot more than thinking of replacing its hood.
