what about a surge tank in the enginebay with a new fuel pump.

have the fuel pressure regulator drain back in to the surge tank.

use the old fuel pump to keep surge tank full. then the surge tank

overflow back to the original gas tank.....

what if I changed my mind a little bit...

Maybe this can be just as fun.

I slapped a hydraulic turbo cam/rockers in, and it looks like my flange will serve as an adapta-plate.

now I am strongly considering megasquirt for this with a 36-1 crank trigger wheel, still distributor, but tbi.

I figure I have a minute or two to screw around.

Bought some seats today.

93 corolla seats to be exact. I have not test fit them, but they look like they will fit in well.

So, I whipped these up.

I painted them black, then installed them.

So far so good.

I'll make the second set once I get more materials.

I have to order some couplers, But I think I am going to run my ic piping this way.

My flat parts guy said he should have my 36-1 trigger wheel and mount cut before the weekend.

I stuffed a couple 1050cc FIC injectors in the conquest TBI and stacked some nuts and a washer as spacers.

Not as fancy as some machined billet, but quick, easy, cheap, and effective.

Warm weather seems to help a lot.

Here is my custom cut 36-1 trigger wheel for the g5xb early crank pully.

I suppose It could be welded onto a rubber inserted one as well. I'll probably get more cut in time.

I had to do it.

These are so much more comfortable and easier to install.

iw, on the desktop dyno, It's estimated 200hp, 160ft/lbs on 15psi. And thanks for following my projects over the years.

Olive8, thank you.

what happened with the 4g set up?

I decided that for my requirements for this car, the 2.0 sohc will work just fine once it is boosted and throttle body injected.

Technology, It's a stock part on the colt/arrow/lancer 1.6/1.8/2.0 motors I believe. Definitely the ones with jet valves, I'm not sure about the pre-78 without jet valves.

The dizzy looks to be the same as a quests, except points style.

I had my flat parts guy cut me the 36-1 wheel and sensor holder. I drew it up in autocad.

I opted for the crank trigger because there is about 10° of "slop" between the crank and cam with the chain.

Now we are talking.

But, hindsight being 20/20, I need to put the radiator in before the IC due to the location of the trans cooler and the bolts go in from the IC side.

I need to figure out if I am going to put the AIT in the intake pipe, or the IC pipe.

maybe, I don't know. Pay for shipping and pp fees, and you can have it. Might even have a gasket set for it.

I also got a new camera... well, phone, whatever.

Also, I put the hood on. I broke 3 of the four bolts that held it on, but they drilled out really easy, and I just had to clean the threads up.

Oil cooler.

Looks like it should be able to handle the job.

I don't have a front plate, but you get the idea.
