scott87star
You need to number them so we can reference. First is the purge valve for the charcoal canister and fuel tank vent for when your car goes upside down. Second, yes. Third, cruise control. Fourth, brake line junction to the ABS. Fifth and Sixth, fuel return and feed lines from the throttle body. Seventh, I think its to the dash tach.
leesfer
Number 4: If you want to remove your ABS then the left side of that goes directly in to the brake cylinder
mr-starion
The last pic is scary but looks like its the alternator charging wire that runs to the batter but there should be a black junction box on it
Indiana
That's proportioning valve is full of rust and likely seized up. Take it apart and clean it.
mr-starion
I hate when people hack these cars like that:( im sure it wasnt you who did it
Indiana
Those crimp connectors being exposed like they are work for a short time then corrode again because nice clean wire is near battery acid fumes.
Ron Burgandy
Ok so right now i have no ABS which idc anyway as long as the rest of the breaks work. I can remove the charcoal canister i wont need it. And the wires to the fuse blocks will be sorted out and addressed properly. This is how the po did the car before i got it. Indiana
When that charcoal canister is removed and the lines to that valve, you have to keep the vent line to the fuel tank open and that just lets moisture in. Cold fuel, hot fuel, moist air means a rusty tank. All that does is let the intake suck the fumes from the gas tank so the system stays closed and keeps the moisture out. Its a GOOD thing to KEEP it. Ron Burgandy
ok then it shall remain. thanks indiana. and i have numbered them for better reference. ALSO IN #4 JUST ABOVE WHERE I AM POINTING THERE IS A SNIPPED METAL LINE COMING FROM BEHIND THE BRAKE BOOSTER. WHAT IS IT?
mr-starion
thats your abs line, not needed if your removing it, just run a line from the proportioning valve, the one your pointing at, to the master cylinder where that line connects to. What if you just attach a valve directly to the line?
