Contsi
Are these still available? looks like one piece from Cat Converter back with 2 chrome tips.If not, is there a replacement that sounds the same? I like the sound, I guess it was called performance tuned exhaust. Thaks
on4now4
when i was just getting started in conquests about 3 maybe 4 years ago. i searched everywhere for an exact stock replacement and could never find it i did finally find one that calmed to be an exact stock replacement with 2 chrome tips it showed up and it was just the single non chrome tip. i would say your best bet is just have someone install a muffler with 2 chrome tips instead of finding a stock replacement. i have seen people selling them used tho... TopDawg_43
I understand you like the sound, and are looking for the look. The sound of the exhaust really does not change, if the rest of your exhaust is stock, given that there are two cats. Good luck on the look. You could always find a stock muffler on a car being parted. PM FijiPhil, he's parting out three cars. I'm sure one has to have a muffler on it. Indiana
If you want to hear what a stock exhaust sounds like on your car while you drive and are under boost, the easiest way it to prop the hatch open you'll hear it then and its not the same as you hear out the side window. Problem is the muffler needs to be replace because the body of the muffler has seperated from the pipes, right where the the 2 pipes exit the body. Indiana
There's a Hooker Headers muffler with an offset inlet and middle outlet that sounds nice and its not too expensize.
Coke
Talk to Frenchi. He has a stock looking muffler on his car. It looks really good. Two medium size chrome tips. Very tastefully done.
Frenchi934
My car actually has one tip. I too, liked the dual tip look, but it just wasn't going to happen with a straight through style muffler like I wanted. The process of building the system, as well as what I used to make it are on my build thread. Everything (including hangars, muffler, flanges etc) cost me less than 250 for a complete 3" system. Anyone at PF will agree its one of the quieter cars there. I believe it sounds similar to the stock system, with its deep throaty tone (but that's fairly characteristic of the G54b in general) http://img580.imageshack.us/img580/760/sdc11695n.jpg http://img135.imageshack.us/img135/5540/sdc11697n.jpg http://img861.imageshack.us/img861/1817/sdc11696.jpg http://img12.imageshack.us/img12/5016/sdc11698p.jpg I believe Coke was thinking of nudelobsters car
