I have tried to edit the title of the thread to reflect that the car has been sold but the full editor on this forum appears not to work. I have e-mailed an admin. about the problem.

Car has been SOLD

Price Reduced to $5000 for quick sale. My loss your gain.

Contact Daniel at (904) 234-3470 with any questions about this great car.

This car has been fully restored from the frame up, other than paint. The car has no rust or filler at all on the body. It has the original paint and is in great condition for being red and 24 years old. The plastic parts (mirrors, spoilers, bumpers and air dam) have been removed and repainted. The engine and tires has about 200 miles on them. The A/C works as it should and converted to R-134 with New Expansion valve. The car has 1988 suspension under it with the 6 bolt axels and the LSD is 1988 with all new seals.

I want to trade this car for a Honda Goldwing!!! Or maybe a Honda Insight. I would take $7500 CASH as of today but this cash price is subject to change. I will look at any other barter options so let me know what you have. I am in no hurry unless you have what I want. I have even thought about raffling off the car, something like selling 150 tickets for $50 and the drawing ticket wins the car. There is also the option to part the car out, it would be easy to disassemble because every bolt and nut has been removed and reinstalled so no rusted or frozen fasteners to worry with.

Here is some links to some write up of some of the work that I have done to the car here on the forums

The reason I want to trade the car is that I believe that I will get into trouble with this car if I keep it. It is just to much fun to drive and I can't seem to keep it within the speed limit.

The car has had a 4 wheel alignment.

All the lights and guages work with the exception of the tac in the dash. It works I just haven't had time to reconfigure it to work with the new igintion system and MegaSquirt.

I do have a set of GT Factory Diablo door hinges for the car, I just have gotten to putting them on. It a nice little project to do.

The car will be going back to the dyno soon and I will have the latest Dyno numbers when that happens.

What I haven't got working yet or haven't tested is the cruse control. The cruse controll worked before I rebuilt the car.

Here is some pictures

For an example of what I would trade for. I found this Goldwing on craigs list for barter but the owner is looking to trade for an older car.

http://jacksonville....2342822735.html The owner no longer has this and the add has been removed

I would trade for this if it checked out to be ok.

Thanks everyone for the nice responses.

I have owned this car for the last 12 years and it has been in storage for about 9 years and in March 2009 I got it out of storage and have been spending allot of money time on the car. I have some close up pictures of the body for everyone. Just remember that this is the original paint and body and it has no rust or body work or filler to this date. I know that it has a ding or two and some chips here and there but I think it looks great for being original. I do know that it would look super with a new professional complete teardown and repaint.

What OEM manifold did you use to make that MPFI? Very nice car GLWS

Hi Frenchi, thanks for looking at my car. If I remember correctly I started with a Ford Probe intake. I cannot say what year it was but I think that it was a 2.2 Liter engine. The runner spacing was close to the GB54 engine and I liked the long runner it has. I cut off the old intake flange and tig on a new flange that fit the GB54 engine and port matched everything. I had to use a thermostat housing off a stock GB54 intake and tig it to the flange and clocked it so that the radiator hose would clear everything. I had to tig new injector bosses in the intake runners and made a fuel rail to match them. The old injector bosses were an odd size and wanted to use standard size injectors. I had the intake milled to make sure everything was straight. I had to reconfigure the inlet to the intake to get the throttle body where I wanted it and pointing in the right direction. I wanted a good size throttle body with a TPS and IAC. I searched high and low until I found what I wanted. I ended up using a throttle body off of a Cadillac 32 valve North Star engine. It is a 75 MM throttle body with a TPS and a GM IAC valve. I wanted the GM IAC valve because it works well with the MegaSquirt setup to control the idle of the engine. I also welded a neck to the throttle and a flange to mount a blow off valve close to the throttle body. Doing this eliminates more connections and prevented possible leaks. I then powder coated the complete intake on the outside. By the time I was finished I could have just built the intake from scratch.

The car may be sold pending personal inspection. I have been talking with a man in New York that is going to come down at the end of May to buy the car after he inspects and tests drive the car. He offered to put a down payment to hold the car but I did not accept it. I would rather receive the money at the time of the sale.

On another note I will be going to the dyno soon and will have the results posted here for everyone to see.

awesome build, nice and clean http://www.starquestclub.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif what #'s are you hoping to get on the dyno?

I was hopping to get at least 350 HP but for now this will have to do.

The numbers are 298 HP and 325 torque

I rented a Dyno yesterday for 6 hours and made 32 pulls.

The higest HP that I saw was 298 HP with 325 Torque at 5500 RPM.

I did not adjust the cam gear or anything mechanical I was just working on the tune of the MegaSquirt.

This car with this setup is capable of more it just needs more tinder loving care and someone with more time than I have.
