Well...been messing with my truck here over the past couple months, and its finally done enough that I can take some pictures of it. But...I'll let the pics do the talking...

fun stuff

Sanded down...(no pictures of it completley sanded...but...best one I have)

Directly after paint...(the painter sealed it, painted it with 4 coats of black and 4 coats of clear).

Dropped 2" in the rear...wetsanded/buffed

Same...in the mountains of Pennsylvania...thats a Carlisle sticker in the windshield :P It was in the show.

And...here she is now...all striped up and ready to go. Me and my dad did everything, except the actual spraying of the paint. But, I peeled stripes, we sanded, we wetsanded, my uncle buffed, and we put stripes on :P (it took longer to do the grille and front bumper than the whole rest of the truck).

But...here she is all done (sorta).

What do you guys think? Just turned 150,000 miles after my PA trip, and it still runs like a top. Tis quite a torque monster :D Yay tire spinnage :P

Nice!!! I am glad you kept it to stock appearence.

Thanks! These are one of those vehicles that I think Dodge nailed on the design, so, I didn't want to change it much. And, while I liked the plain black look, the stripes really do set it off. But, I plan on polishing the wheels in the future as well...not looking forward to that, though. Also, the Dodge on the top of the windshield was on the predecessor to the SS/T, the Indy Pace truck, which is the same exact thing, but, they had other decals on them as well. But, I liked it, so I had one made in silver :P

And, BAD, the blue ss/ts weren't SS/Ts, they were the pace trucks. SS/Ts were Black/Silver, Red/Silver, Green/Silver, or White/Blue. The Pace Trucks were Blue/White only. My dad actually has one of those he's fixing up...haha.

They're fun trucks though...they're fun to drive being they handle like a car (my rear sway bar and 2" lowering helped even more), and are basically just the lightest full size truck with the biggest V8, so, they move pretty good as well. A buddy of mine with a similar truck, just not an SS/T is in the 13s, and all he has is a tuner, exhaust, and a CAI.

Looks great! As I was looking at the first couple of pictures I noticed the original headlights were starting to yellow and I was thinking: "I hope he doesn't go to all the trouble to paint the truck and leave the headlights like that". Obviously you addressed that with some really nice replacements.

I hope the truck continues to run great after all that work you put into it.

Thanks man.

and, haha...yeah. I actually got the new headlights before I did anything to the truck, but, I wanted to wait until it was painted to put them in. The other ones actually fell apart when I took them out.

And...I hope it lasts too. Luckily, since its a Florida truck, there isn't one lick of rust to speak of. I can tell that the engine still has a long life ahead of it, though. If, however, the engine ever decides to take a crap...well...I have super plans that ought to make it charge pretty hard with every stroke of the forged crank :D
