Technology
http://schneidercams.com/68014valvespringset.aspx I talked to them a while ago when I bought new springs for my engine, and the guy mentioned they would be coming out with a new spring for our motors shortly, and while looking at cams I noticed these in the related items. I think it would work, but I just bought new singles and don't need the doubles, I don't think.

Indiana
They were using double springs in AU long ago, you can get them but they aren't cheap.
Technology
Sure they're old news, but now they seem to be readily available to anyone through schneider in an application specific product.

cyberquest
in that first pic, no thats actually just bodyshop dust from where the head was sitting. those pics are pretty old, the springs are still in there doing fine and the car just made a 1535 mile trip to branson and back again so all is well. when Tep started selling the schneider back in the early 90s they came as a dual spring option, so its nothing new for schnieder either. pretty sure thats where mine came from. cyberquest
i run a TEP cam with those springs, and it will rev till your balls tingle. but i try not to high rev mine, i have my rev limit set on the msd at 5500 for normal driving and step it up to 6000 at the track. before the rev limiter i would rid rpms out a little farther and have reved as high as 7200 before with no ill effects. i run hydralic lifters though and i think i would be more concerned about them then i would anything else with the higher revs. i know that since i have the rev limiter now and i am not constantly pushing the limits of my rpms that my lifters have gotten SUPER quiet if i ride her hard and do 6200-6500 shifts those lifters tick like nobodies business. i think trying to push higher rpms from this motor is pointless, but thats my veiws and opinions. i base that on just about every dyno sheet i have ever seen for these cars where power just falls off FAST in the higher rpms. if your not making power up there why put the motor thru that abuse. here are a couple RANDOM samples i pulled from phinkos 300hp club post. http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u37/philpressure/Dyno%20Forum/DYNOart.jpghttp://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u37/philpressure/Dyno%20Forum/Dynokronus.jpg
Brown
Note to dual spring users - I was running them for about 1/2 year before my engine gave way. I took my head to my machinist, Larry Holt Jr, to have it fixed/blueprinted. He noted that MY setup(AMC) required machining/shimmed to properly install the dual spring setup to the achieve the correct spring rates of the Schneider springs. As they were, the spec'ed out with a 50+ lbs spread which is UNACCEPTABLE. On a side note, the setup had destroyed 3 of 8 lash caps by that time. Yes, I am running solids. I have them now as well to eliminate hydros that randomly stop filling up and start ticking. When I talked to Schneider earlier this year about valve springs, he said 5 years was a long time for valve springs to be installed, and it was no wonder that my 5 year old springs were far below their rated pressure.
