Chrome_Rush
Dammit, I got the second one apart, and I was washing out the inside with windex, I dropped it and cracked the hell out of it. Need a new lense, or a set of starion lenses. I just find it a little funny I got it apart no problem, than I broke it trying to clean it lol. conquest1988
Glue them back together. Seal all works great available at home depot for like $3. http://www.tapplastics.com/uploads/products/images/fullsize/standard/598_seal-all.jpg Edited March 23, 2010 by conquest1988
D_Venable
silicone sealant/glue, or clear or black RTV they also snap in, so the glue really just holds it tighter and seals it
Chrome_Rush
I used aquarium sealant on lenses for another car that I took apart. Plus it stays rubbery, making it pretty easy to take it apart again if you want to change it.
nomad
The European ones, they have a rear foglight in them (a European mandate), that's the large white light your thinking of then there's what I think is the JDM one, which has a large central brake light in each tail light instead of the high mount one http://www.beyonddarwin.com/starion/taillightpics/JDMYO.jpg These are Aussie Tails, JA I believe.http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/ll231/nomad1856/IMG_2322.jpghttp://i289.photobucket.com/albums/ll231/nomad1856/IMG_2317.jpg

Austin88ESiR
Yes, I believe those are the Aussie lights. I don't care for the blocks. The one D_venable posted were of mine: http://www.beyonddarwin.com/Starion/starionpics/JDMYO.jpg The big block is somewhat annoying and I need to rewire it so it is not a running light (which is how I initially wired it). I think the JDMs resemble the OEM Starion lights for the US market more than the Aussie ones. Edited December 27, 2010 by Austin88ESiR
Austin88ESiR
Also keep in mind that when you go to the amber lenses, you remove the red running light portion of our cars which technically make them illegal for US market. US cars have to have visible amber lights in front and red in the rear when viewed from the side to indicate direction of travel. The old Supras had rear amber lenses and had an additional red running light: http://newbeetle.org/forums/attachments/miscellaneous-hoo-ha-archive/37804d1190582842-whats-your-dream-garage-85supra.jpg http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk296/suprajayaz/85%20Supra%207MGTE/2008-5857mgteSupra0002.jpg I still need to come up with a tasteful solution for my lenses. http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z145/lpalaciosATX/Pigeon%20Forge/DSC_0163.jpg Edited December 27, 2010 by Austin88ESiR
