Need tail lights and tail light bulb housings.
08 May 2013 - 02:10 AM
I've been playing with some various tail light projects and am about to start offering sequential turn signal kits for SQs, so I'm looking to get a bunch of tail light stuff together....
The bulb housings I need for the sequentail turn setups. I can mod the housings and wiring to where it's a plug and play setup. That way, the customer can get the kit, swap out the bulb housings, and send their old ones in for cores. I need some here to mod and have ready to go before I can expect any cores. Ones with broken plugs or rusty sockets are fine, but I prefer undamaged ones.
The tail lights, I'm looking mostly for ugly ones. If you have nice ones for top dollar, I'm not your guy. I'm looking for tails that are water damaged, have lenses with stress cracking, or have housings that are damaged in one way or another. One of those things where they're not nice enough to sell to somebody, but you hate to throw them away. Basically, I take them all apart and put the best lenses with the best housings. Any parts that are damaged but can be restored will be. Any sketchy housings will be put with stress cracked lenses, then tinted and cleared. the tint hides the flaws, and the clear seals up the stress cracks. Some really nice lenses may even find their way onto the worst housings, but with a bunch of LED boards between them
.
I'm down to pay $10-15 per bulb housing. I do have a couple LH bulb housings here already, but no RH ones, so I need those most.
I'm thinking I'm down to pay $15-30 per tail light, depending on condition. I might be able to be taked a little higher if the condition is nicer than I'm looking for, or for Starion VS Conquest.
Also willing to trade any of my products also. Fog light covers, chin splitters, Conquest and Starion decals, mesh kits and tint skins.
PM me or post here if you can help me out.
Thanks!

Any interest in sequential turn tail lights? UPDATE! VIDEO ADDED!
24 April 2013 - 11:10 AM
EDIT- 5/10/13......
Here's the pricing. I will offer these two ways..... With LED bulbs and a new LED flasher, and without
Sequential setup #1- $120:
This will come with LH and RH OEM bulb housings that have had the sequential modules wired in. The outer bulb 2 wire sockets are also replaced by new 3 wire ones. As with all my products, it will also come with detailed installation instructions. and any necessary hardware. You will have to provide your own LED bulbs and LED flash relay
Sequential setup #2- $170:
This will come with everything in Setup #1, but also comes with 6, 12 LED bulbs (the ones in the video above are 9 LED), as well as a turn signal flash relay designed to work with LED bulbs. I purchase this stuff thru superbrightleds.com, and while the quality of their products is top-notch, they are also more expensive than the cheap LED bulbs on the market. I've had horrible luck with cheap LED's so I will not use them in conjunction with any of my products. If my name is going to be on something, I want it to be of the highest quality possible.
PLEASE NOTE!!!!!!!!!!!
The sequential module is designed to run LED bulbs, The OEM style turn signal flash relay is not. If you do not replace the flash relay with one made to run LED's, the lights will not work. If you use standard bulbs instead of LEDs, your lights will not work.
I currently have 2 LH and 2 RH bulb housings on site, and another one of each on the way, so for right now, I am only offering 3 sets. These will be built in order of purchase, and should take about 2 weeks from full payment to have ready to go.
First come, first served;)
Prices include shipping and Paypal fees. Paypal: markewade@gmail.com
Prices also include a core charge for your old, un-modded bulb housings.... After installing your sequential bulb housings, you can send me your old housings and get $20 back.
Thanks!
I got some sequential modules to setup some sequential turns on my tail lights. I still got a little more wiring to figure out, and have to buy some LEDs yet, but if they turn out good, I'd be down to make some more if there's interest.
The modules require the use of LED bulbs so there will be the bulb expense, but aside from that, I think I'd be able to offer a plug and play setup for around $125-150 plus bulbs. Personally, I like to spend the extra money on good LEDs from places like superbrightleds.com, because I've had issues with the cheap LED bulbs failing within weeks, and sometimes days. I'm thinking I'll probably just buy a bunch of bulbs from superbright, and try and offer the kit with the bulbs, but I may also sell a kit without the bulbs, that way some of you gamblers who want to roll the dice on the cheap ones can save a buck.
Basically, I take the tail light bulb assemblies and add on the modules to them. The kit would come with modified bulb assemblies that you just swap out with the factory ones....Plug and play.
Soooooo, I don't have pics and video of it yet, but hope to this weekend. Assuming they work and look good (I won't offer them if they don't), how many of you might be down for a sequential turn setup for $125-150 plus bulbs?

OEM reconditioned rear plate trim.

I accumulated a bunch of these, and most were cracked or damaged in some way. This one was beautiful, other than a badly faded finish.
I sanded and refinished it a nice satin black as it was when new, and installed the best set of plate lights I had out of about 10 sets I had on hand. The pic was taken before I installed the lights, but it will come with them.....

Flatty airdam
18 March 2013 - 01:10 PM
This is an airdam I got a while back that had a few small cracks and other damage that was repaired using a quality urethane bumper repair epoxy. I then sanded and primed the whole thing. There are a few very minor scratches on the bottom edge that I didn't bother with, but the primer filled most of them.
