The engine is for a caliber SRT4. You will need trans, ECU and ECU Harness, and then the other little stuff to make a swap project out of this. Its been sitting in my garage for the last year i was going to make a neon project but time will not allow that right now, so my loss your gain. tsiconquest88 Posted November 9, 2008 Report Share Posted November 9, 2008 well if u had the money u could use whatever u want lol. No matter what, your doing a decent amount of customizing. By using a custom made adapter plate for the SQ tranny u could use the SQ tranny and then move the tranny back or forward depending on the engines placement and of course then re-do the tranny mount to make work. Input shaft of the tranny will most likely not fit a Sq clutch so modding the input shaft with a SQ input shaft could be done. that just one idea and the list surely goes on lol. Bottom line anything can be done. Now on the good side, it is possible there already is a rear wheel drive tranny setup for those 2.4 engines and in that case going that route may be best.
