I have a wobble after my car sits

I just replaced the bearings on my car, the complete bearings, I pressed the old guides out of the hubs and put in the new ones and everything because of a mean wobble I would get on the freeway. I bought Timkin bearings and used Mobil1 synthetic bearing grease to replace everything. I drove it right after and problem solved, felt like a brand new car, I can actually feel how bad my struts are now...lol. Anyway, I get ready for work this morning hop in the car, get on the main street and dayum, it's wobbling a little, at about 30 mph. Now I'm pissed, I get on the freeway anyway and roll out, I didn't feel anything at all on the freeway. I get off the freeway and hit the surface streets...no wobble.... I go to lunch, it wobbles...on my way back from lunch...no wobble. I drive it home, wobbles a little on the surface streets, get on the freeway nothing, get in my neighborhood, no wobble. So what do you guys think? Is there such a thing as too thick bearing grease and it has to warm up to work? Bad tire, that is deformed when it's cold? All my steering linkage looks good, I do have a little play in my steering box... Suggestions...

I believe spindles suffer the most abuse after bearings, were yours true ? were the races scored or blue ?

my bet would be to re-check the spindle nut to see if it has backed off.

If there are old worn components involved (like the shocks you mention) should be replaced before you continue to guess,

but I wanted to mention your particular symptoms reminded me of my 86 and the idler arm bushing and that would come and go as the bushing popped in and out although idler arms are different in design, it would still be a good idea to have an alignment shop look at it see if they'll give you an estimate of what it'll cost.

It's worth protecting yourself, friends and strangers.

I had a pair of front tires and rims a couple years ago that I got off a car that'd been sitting for a long time. Tread was great, they were Goodyear Eagles, but they'd do the same thing. I'd start off with them cold and and you could feel the "wobble" in the steering wheel. Once I'd been driving a little while they's true up. Must've been some funky belts in them. Once I swapped tires I haven't had the problem since.

Wouldn't hurt to go back through and recheck all your bearing work, just to be safe though.

both nuts backed off...this time I torqued them per specs and no problem, yet. It still has a little wobble after bumps and around 30 mph, but those I think can be attributed to struts and tires because it's nowhere near what it was doing before, nowhere. Thank you again for the support.
