Convette
So I can't stand the dated look of the interior, so I'm changing it. Simple, light and only what I need to drive. Still working on details... digital rendering overlayed on to an image...then a little photoshop. more to come http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w239/johnboy9788/interior.jpg http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w239/johnboy9788/int4.jpg

Convette
The dash will be light weight fiberglass covered in thin foam (1/8) then black suede.

Convette
yeah I thought about that, I still got it, but I don't know.... I figure rain-x/anti-fog will be enough. I'll still have wipers...maybe..lol
leesfer
I'm digging up this post from the dead, but Convette do you have more details about how you did this? How did you bend the aluminum sheets, what thickness are they? What material are the two center pieces? I am pulling my dash out this weekend to start on a custom one and any details would help a great deal
Convette
If you check my build thread I might have some more info there. I'll have to check the thickness but I think it is 1/8th inch. I bent them on my fence post on my back yard..lol the center pieces are wood. Did you weld it together or how are all the pieces connected to each other and then to the body? Went all through your build thread but didn't see much details on the dash Edited February 20, 2014 by leesfer
