TexasQuest
That's some good sticky info right there. I couldn't help but notice that the montero is not listed. Are they all 4wd or something?

Are they all 4wd or something? I don't think Montero's came in 2wd's until later around 95 to 01? I may be wrong.

AutoBodyGod
I could have sworn the D50 I got my manual box out of was 4wd. No way possible a 4wd can work, look at your drag link and position the 4wd's bolt on. Edited August 18, 2010 by AutoBodyGod
Cobalt60
Wow. My Quest is converted to Manual steering. I paid $200 for a rebuilt gearbox, and $200 for a modified and rebuilt steering column. At the same time I installed the gearbox and column, I put in a new steering coupler, which only lasted a couple months (or atleast, thats how long it took for tons of play to come back into my steering)! I need an alternative to the stock StarQuest steering coupler, please help me! I was thinking of somehow replacing the rubber with poly but I do not know how to or who would do it for me. I guess Im not even sure if the coupler is the issue but where else would the play come from. With 225 tires in the front, there sure is a lot of pressure put on that rubber coupler. BTW thanks for compiling that list. -Chris p

As you have noticed, the rubber doesn't hold up when used on the manual box Thanks for the info ABGod! Edited August 19, 2010 by psu_Crash
