StarquestRescue
I have used a inpact gun. I can't see how it could hurt it.
cryquest
I did my wheel bearings a month ago and the nut came off easily with an impact gun but this was after cleaning the rust and letting the nut soak in PB blaster.
psu_Crash
PB for a bit and an impact did it for me. It came off mine without much fuss though. Just a cheater probably would have done the trick
Edde
I had one refuse all attempts with impact and a breaker bar so long I could lift the car. I locked the hub with a 4 way tire iron between the lugs and pavement. It eventually had to be cut off which ruined the shaft, flange, everything. Worst part was the bearings were fine. The other side came right off with the impact gun. This was factory built and not touched prior to my messing with it.
Turbo Cary
Try using heat conservatively on the nut and shoot it off with an impact gun. If you need lubricant to help break rust down use Freeze All. Stuff works awesome. Spray it on, tap the nut a few times with a hammer lightly, respray and try to break it loose.
