88-cnqst-tsi
I did and theres people that say to mount the primary sensor in the a/c spot in the intake manifold but im not sure if that's a good way to go since that's not the temp in the rad
Komeuppance
Primary thermosensor removed from original rad, placed in EGR thermoswitch location. And then wired to trigger both fan relays. -RobertHis fans turn off and on just fine. I wouldn't have approved it if they stayed on all the time, that's for sure. -RobertWell my set up works...sooooo...i just did the same swap and i installed the secondary switch in the drain hole of the radiator just drill and tap it to M16-1.5 works great. thanks StarQuestMike -Robert

Shelby
the main question is how hot is the rad coolant , lets just say the fan sensor is in the intake,,the thermostat fails to open the fan run cause the intake is over heat'd but does the coolant get cool'd nope cause of no flow to the rad ,, be a real pain to trouble shoot wouldn't it, cause you'd think well the fans do run so it must just be the gauge off , few people actualy lay hands on the rad to see if it is hot or not
importwarrior
check this out. this is an alternative. the screw is for a ground wire to the engine block.just splice lower radiator hose then clamp it down make sure to run ground wire.on a side note the stock mitsu sensor might not fit. you might have to drill taphole to proper thread pattern or use a different fan sensor.the link below does come in different sizes so make sure to get the proper sizefor the quest hose. Link: http://www.aliexpres.../616319272.html this is called a radiator temp sensor adapter. search for one.http://i2.frsimg.com/images/detailed_images/Greddy_16401630_6_15543_15544_15545.jpg Edited April 28, 2013 by importwarrior

SOTTY
lol who do I trustoh that ones easy as i won't give out wrong information on something iv'e tried and tested myself and i have the installation instructions in front of me as i type with the detailed drawing of the radiator top hose showing the temp probe inserted and do yourself a big favor no matter how broke you are and buy two cheap Ebay 12 inch fans and the ties to attach them to mang , don't mess trying to adapt the stock fans , that and there probably getting to old to be of any use like other things in the Starquest world
IntercooledFlatty
if SOTTY has done this to HIS OWN QUEST and it works, do you need more info here ? no, IT WORKS ...and if it keeps his quest cool in that vegas heat, it'll work ANYWHERE
